Try isopure ready to drink from the vitamin shoppe. All I have tasted so far are good. The coconut is really good. It is more of a kook aid consistency. Wish I had known about these in the beginning.

600-800 is the amount at this stage. You will lose. I continue to fool my body by eating maybe 1400 one day and then maybe 900 the next. I am 8 months out and am losing very slowly. It will come off with determination. I will get to goal. It may take me a ling time but I will get there. The most important thing at the stage you are is getting enough protein and liquids. Sip sip sip all day long. 8 glasses of liquid a day, very important.

Most embarassing moment so far
mokee replied to Ashlee K's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At least you were at home. For a very long time after surgery I had diarrhea almost every time I ate. It happened a couple times in the car, once had to drive 2 hours home sitting in gobs of poop. How embarrassing is that? Then they finally did blood work and I was anemic. I got my iron levels up and this stopped. So maybe you are anemic. Just a thought. -

Question about the Point at which weight loss tapers off
mokee replied to Reigo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I stopped losing at the 5 month mark. I weighed 275 at start and was 209 then. I am 8 months out and am down to 197. Heading for 167. I will make it because I won't give up. It may take me over a yr. I am older. 66. I do not exercise due to pain. So all things considered I am not doing bad. -
One Year before and After Pics

You look incredible! What a job you have done. Keep it up and enjoy the rest of your life. -
I hit onederland a few weeks ago. Had not been in the 100's for 44 years. Yes I said 44 yrs. amazing for me. I never dreamed that I would ever be this weight again. I went from a 24 to a 16 now. Still can't wrap my brain around this. Hardly ever hungry and can not eat that much at all even after 8 months. It is coming off very slowly but still dropping.

Before you know it those smaller sizes will fit. Best of luck and enjoy the journey.

You can do it! You are doing so well.

To change for it to work. Many think you just have the surgery and everything will be hunky dory. Take her to a few seminars so she can make a decision on her own. It must be her decision.

I was 66 when I had it done. I am on Medicare and also have BCBS federal. I never paid one cent for anything. Whatever Medicare did not pay my other insurance picked up. Go to a seminar for whatever surgeon you think she may want and they can tell you there if it is covered by whatever insurance she had. But by the way this sounds does she want this at all? This is a life changing surgery and you really have to be willing ton

I had no drains and did not have a problem either.

I am 6 months out and I have decided to stop the omniprazle and see what happens. I did not have heartburn before the sleeve. But 2 weeks after surgery it started. I am trying to get myself off of as many meds as possible. I just stopped Ambien CR 2 weeks ago and am finally able to sleep 4-6 hours a night. It has been a rough go of it but I think the worst is over. I was on it for too many years. Insulin is the one I want off of the most. But it is a slow go for me in that department. Probably should have had the by-pass but was afraid of that one.

Wendys! Had this early on.

Well the acid came back. I tried stopping and that did not work. I tried every other day for over a month and that did not work. So I guess in my case the PPI will be a permanent thing. I will try again down the road. I had to sign a disclaimer about this before surgery.

Like the isopure the best. Try the coconut. It is very good. Maybe take the case back and buy individual bottles of different flavors and you should find one or more that you like. Unjury, I did not like, but we are all different.

You look so young now. Congrats! -
Have not been to dr about this yet. But I can not tolerate this on a regular basis. So sorry yours is so bad. I'm thinking I may have a stricture, but I surely hope not.

Best of luck to you. The sleeve is definetly a life changer. -
My husband sneezes after he eats most of the time. He never had WLS. We assume he is allergic to something. I had hoped this topic would give me a clue.

Isopure Individual bottles on sale at GNC. B2G1
mokee replied to AmyInOrlando's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I just bought 12 bottles and definitely did not get a deal. Cost me $48. Where are you from. I am from Ohio. -
I am intimidated to go to the pool to exercise and I don't know why. I am 76 lbs smaller and never felt this way before. I know I just need to go once and then I will be alright but that first time I'd very hard.

Surgeon runs all blood work every 3 months. Mostly all vitamin levels plus CBC and things PCP usually runs. The vit levels were never checked by my PCP. This is how I found out I was anemic the last time.

Who is the SHE you are speaking about. I looked at your stats and your surgeon is a male and your BMI would qualify you for surgery without co-morbidities. Not to worry only hurting yourself. If this is one of the office staff, who cares what she says.
