I am 8 months out and occasionally have a diet soda. It gives me a lot of gas but other than that I am fine. As far as stretching goes, I don't think anyone knows for sure.

I see you have done fantastic. I am nov 28, 2012. A yr later than you. I am not losing much any more. May even be finished, but hope not.

The first picture will be 8 months ago at 275 lbs. The next is at 3 months out at 235 lbs. the last is today at 197 lbs. hope I can do this.

You need to work closely with your nutritionalist so you don't harm you or the baby. Please take all your vitamins and would ask if you need more now. Best of luck.

Every practice is different. Just call the office and ask when you are supposed to visit the doctor. I personally saw the doctor before I started the nut visits. In fact I see the dr before all nut visits even to this day and I am 8 months out.

Fred1977, You are cold because of the rapid weight loss. I was freezing all the time the first 4 months when the weight was falling off the fastest. Now that things are way slow I am not cold anymore.

The dr will take care of ins. I could have went home the next day but I chose to stay that extra day. Some have this surgery outpatient and many only stay overnight. You may have a very easy time so don't worry. I didn't need any help at home. You are supposed to walk a lot so not to get bloodclots. So taking care of yourself is your only priority. You will do just fine.

As far as going out, you learn that it is definetly a social event and you socialize more than eating. You will have more fun. You will be full with so little food. It is amazing. I am 8 months out and I still feel restriction. It is great. Sometimes I even forget to eat. Never thought that would be me. Don't worry. You will do just fine.

Does not sound normal to me. You should make an appointment with the dr. Face to face maybe he will do something to help you.

I am almost 8 months out. I have been doing very well. About 6 weeks ago I had my first episode of vomiting. But I believe that it was from over eating the 2 times that it happened. Now it happens about once a week and do not know why. Yesterday had an apple with Peanut Butter and a half hour later up it all came. Needless to say I was afraid to eat the rest of the day. I'm eaten this before and never had a problem. The way it happens for me is the nausea hits and I am vomiting in 10 seconds. It is a race to the bathroom. Please anyone else have this problem?

Just load the car. I see your surgery is coming up soon. These clothes won't fit you after the first 2 months. Shopping is so fun after. I gave over 100 lbs to st Vincent DePaul and started afresh. Now I am outgrowing some of the newer things and had to buy smaller again. Just enjoy the trip. I also am tight but I still got rid of everything and started over. I will never be in those large sizes again. Have fun, it is a once in a life time experience.

It appears that you are very young. You are doing very well with weight loss. Do you have any health problems? You have a lot of doubts. If I were you I would continue what you are doing and see if it works for you. VSG is not a magic bullet either. You must work very hard at it also. We that are overweight will have a lifelong struggle to stay thin. Make sure you are very sure before you have surgery. Read a lot. Best of luck.
