Guilt is what made me fat. Use your awareness and mindfulness and make today a new day. The more you recognize your triggers and behaivors...the easier it will be to change them.

I also had the exact same thing happen to me. I had the port replaced about 10 days or so ago. I was frustrated over the ordeal at first but I am glad it was caught early and can move on with the journey. I was banded on 2/7.

Maybe you are taking in too little calories? Talk to your doc or nut about this but at this point....500 calories may be too little. Good luck.

Awesome work!! This is a great start. Adopting some of these habits now will help you so much after your banded!! Good for you!

I have always struggled with the instant gratification thing as well! I had to rethink the way I "think" about exercise. I list all the benefits of exercise, other than weight loss (i.e, sleep better, better mood, clothes fit better, regulates blood sugar, helps keep my skin from getting too saggy....). I exercise for all the reasons listed. I am not religious about it....but I am getting there.
I always enjoy your posts.....this really transforms the way we think about everything. I just had a conversation with my inner 2 year old that wants everything RIGHT NOW! She seems to be a little quiet this week. Today I am the adult.

Protein is a great habit to get into. After banding the protein will help keep your muscles strong and toned. I have trouble getting all my water in as well (bathroom opportunities). Not sure what your doc's rules are but learning to live without soda was something I practiced during my 6 month pre-op as well. I can't even remember the last time I drank anything carbonated.
The weather looks beautiful there....keep active...be good to yourself!

Congrats on your decision. Good luck on your journey!

Excellent list! With your attitude...you will cross some of these things off your list in no time.

Thank you for sharing your story. You will read that all of our stories have a similar tone. We have tried everything and nothing works. Gather all the knowledge you can about the surgery and from reading these boards. It is the best thing I have done for myself but it wasn't without alot of hard work and a small complication.
Good luck to you! Congrats on taking your life back.

I am in awe of the weight loss you all have achieved. I think a pity party is normal (even for thin people) but try not to let that negative thinking ruin your day! Look how far you have come!! That is successful in my book!

I understand this as well. No magic fairy dust in the "green"...just continue on doing what we are doing. How anti-climactic (wink)!

Oh sweetie! How brave of you to post this "behaivor". Stop looking at is as BAD or FAILED...it's a behaivor that needs some attention and you shined a light on it. It's part of us...the journey. Today is a new day to be conscious of it. Big hugs to you.

You recognized the behaivor as "not good" and your body responded to it by feeling ill. Dust it off...learn from the trigger.....and make a different choice next time. No need to panic.

Congrats! See you on the other side.

I didn't see the weight loss progress until a friend of mine put some side by side pics together for me. Then I was floored. Not because of how much smaller I looked but because how much bigger I was. For me, I didn't think I was as BIG as I was. Our mind has to catch up. I feel more myself at this size than I ever did being bigger!

Most days I do my part...some days I question. For me...it's about the effort I bring everyday and hope at the end of the day it brings me closer and closer to my goal.
Great post...thanks for sharing.

I too had to had to measure my success in other ways this week. It is so easy to fall back into negative thinking and overeating....thanks for reminding me that I have to regroup...even if that means an everyday mantra!

Great post! Thanks for sharing. It is a journey..not a sprint. Thanks for helping us keep our eyes on the prize!

It's not about "perfect". It's about effort. And when you bring that effort everyday...that's when transformation begins!
You will be fine...take some deep breaths. Do this for yourself...and only yourself.

Take a few deep breaths.......one moment at a time during these rough patches. I will be thinking of you and hoping you get some relief soon.
