Oh my gosh so sorry. My heartburn is horrible but since I started full liquids at least my energy came back a bit.
-
Ashely and Candice. That hard to tell since axis reflux is so present in a lot of the sleevers . On my follow up I complained about heartburn not helping with current ppi and he doubled the dose. What else should we look for in addition to the reflux.

Low Bmi-Ers, Happy With Bougie Size? Any Regrets?
Pattyhdz replied to mattr2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am also low bmi (33 /34) and I asked in my follow up the size. Which was 34. I asked after the fact. Then I wondered If I had a choice or does he only have one size lol. I would have proffered the largest but I didn't think was my choice. If you have not been sleeved I suggest you ask. I know I would. -

No sweetie you are not alone. I am only week and Half out but I have seen similar post. I hope they reach out to you. I can relate to you because I alao had band before and those first months I thought I was never going to be able to eat this or that again. And boy was I wrong. Yes I had trouble eating a lot of foods which is part of reason why changed to sleeve. I remember going down food isles saying oh how I am going to miss you. Yea I was talkin to food. Lol. But this time is different with time we should be able to eat a little of everything. As far as eating less I likes what someone posted. They said to do the taking now more interactions at meals. I was doing that already with Band. And as far as slow wt loss. There are some great post here too. I think thread is slow loosers unit. I know I will be one. So chin up and give it time ok

When Can I Take Vitamin Tablets?
Pattyhdz replied to Smoggy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Most vitamins are really big. I would do chewable and If they don't have any do children's chewable . But that is a good question for the older sleevers. I am even Adfraid to take a ppi ( Prilosec ). So am taking Pepcid. As far as follow up mine is in three months also lol I was like. What don't you want to see me in a month or something lol -
5 Days Out, Terrible Insonmnia
Pattyhdz replied to KikiCC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow this problem is really commen , I am ten days out and the first week I was getting a couple of hours in and rarely needed a nap. Even though I felt super tired and drained. I blames it on pain or discomfort. Last couple of days has been a bit better. But not what I wanted. I go to bed late 12 or one expecting to wake up at 9 at least and it's always 6 to 7. And I don't like it. Like someone said this is my time to heal and recover sleep late take long naps. But I should not complain cuz last couple of days at least a sleep a few hours straight. I saw somewhere on rants and raves. That someone complained about living of of 5 hours of sleep. I hope our body adjusts. Oh and also that loosing part of our tummy affects our rem sleep. This is something I did not know pre surgery. Yes k hope to here from people months into surgery -
Good luck Carbgirl. You got this !

How Much Protein, Carbs Etc Is Recommended?
Pattyhdz replied to Smoggy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In the Class with the nut she said to aim for 60 minimum grams of protein and that eventually after fully healed our goal should be 1000 to 1400 cal a day. She didn't say how many carbs -
That's great news. I remember asking surgeon about leaks and he said now they are fixed easily with a stent and no need to re operate. And I thought hmmm that sounds easy. But is not, so glad it worked for you and things will get better .

Hello first good luck to all my fellow sleevers going in today. You will do great and I will pray for you. Well I had mine done the 5th and got outof hospital yesurday. Sorry i had not posted here I has only done it on the fb page. First. Yes was a tough start but as you all promised was short lived it for better day by day. And I feel so blessed to have supporters like you guys. I am taking in liquids better. But man it is hard when they want you to take so much but yet only in sip amounts. Only issue I am having at present ja heartburn which I rarely had before. But it makes sense my tummy must be swollen. I am taking Pepcid twice a day and that ja helping some. Just remember to walk and that it gets better say by day. . And someone mentioned to to get weight so soon after surgery. Well hello I did. And I thought. "what you talkin about Willis " 3 pounds In four days of hospital and hardly eating lol omg. But I just too myself it is ok. It's not about weight right now but about healing my new baby girl (tummy) lol

Would You Do It Again For Just 70 Pounds To Lose?
Pattyhdz replied to JLOR's topic in The Gals' Room
I am exactly like you going in today at 191. (actually lost 8 with pre op diet ). Buy I am a lab band revision. Even if I wasn't this would have been something to do. Will be a tool to help with yo yo dieting. And boy did I get the " why you are not even that fat". And I am sure I wil get looks again in hospital You know the judging looks of why I couldn't do it on my own. Buy only you know how you feel and your confot Zone .The thing is some of us can do it on our own but we can't keep it off. That was the harder part for me. As far as goals I don't have one at this point I just am looking forward to a different experience with food as comparison to band and give it my all and see where it takes me. I am a very slow looser and am use to not eating much already so maybe I just dont want to set myself up for disappointment. Your are not alone. Here . There is also a thread I think titled low Bmi you might find it helpful. I know I did. Good luck -
Thank you Ashley .
