    Not Eating And Gaining...

It will get better I promise! I put on a TON of weight because of your exact situation and I let it get the better of me. You now have this amazing tool to use and not gain weight but lose it. Although you really need to take care of yourself and get in the nutritional stuff your body needs. I have lost more weight by eating more (good stuff) but needed to add carbs and fat in order for my body to let go. I was in total starvation mode and stalled for 6 days. As soon as I added more "stuff" in my foods, I've been dropping 1lb/day again. Therapy is a great idea at this time, a third person that can look at the situation from the outside is the BEST advice I can give. After going through a similar situation, I can guarantee you, you will come out stronger, better, more self esteem and look back and realize he was no good and no good for you Work on yourself, do not give him another minute of your tears, thoughts, etc. If he were worth it, he would have never done what he did. Actions speak louder than words You are worth it!!!!! Stay strong.

    Disappointed And A Little Sad

I go through this almost every day. I've lost 38 pounds and I have to remind myself "girl, you still weigh over 300 pounds!" It's gonna take a huge amount of weight for me to no longer be "big", but I tell you what every day I'm working toward it and even though I'm not dropping 100 pounds overnight as I would like to, I know that this progress in 4 weeks is more than what I have done for myself in my entire life and more weight that I have lost in a long time. I have a total of 185 pounds to lose to get to my goal of 165....even when I write "lose 185 pounds" that sounds like too much of a hurdle, and I start to tell myself "there's just no way", so I don't focus on that. I focus every day on what I'm putting in my mouth and what kind of activity I'm doing to work towards ensuring the weight keeps coming off. I had this surgery because losing 185 pounds on my own felt impossible, but with the sleeve I KNOW it's possible to hit goal or come awfully close. This is a time to truly treat yourself kindly and with love. The weight will come off and one day soon, you'll feel the way you want Keep going, keep pressing on, don't give up!

Will I Ever Be Able To Chug Water Again?

Oh that is so nice to know that the day will come again when I can get half a bottle down in a chug! ....eventually. I'm 4 weeks and feel like I can take a good size drink but man am I dying To take that big gulp and keep drinking! At least it's not forever.

    Fever Post Op

Yes I coughed up a lot of stuff when I first came home and lasted for a few days...I felt like I had pneumonia coming on....I used the spiometer they gave me in hospital that helped and did the breathing excersies everyday, couple times a day. I also had slight fever at 99.5 when I oversteessed about work and over did it at home. Remember to take it easy and treat yourself kindly . Hope you feel better soon.
  5. I'm only 4 weeks and I have that exact same issue.! Did you have this in the beginning, it went away and now it's back??

    Weight Loss With Eating Bad

Try carb cycling....it keeps your body always burning. The Extreme Weight Loss Makeover guy Chris Powell has a book Choose to Lose...the recipies in the book are really similar to what we should be eating. I'm 3 weeks out...when I hit 1month I am going to follow plan and see if I can avoid stalls . Good luck!

    Shakes/jittery

Yes, I feel the same thing...just this morning....shaky and weak...and then I realize I haven't had anything but water! I'm trying to remember that the first thing I need to do when I wake up is get some protien in me. I'm 2.5 weeks out. My dr. Also said that because of so little cal./fat/carb intake that overnight our bodies go into starvation mode so eating within 30 mins of waking is very important....not to mention it helps with metabolism.
  9. Today is my first day hitting the gym (treadmill) in a LONG time and while I've got some great songs on my iPhone, I'm looking for some good workout/walking songs that are upbeat, motivational, uplifting, fun, energetic, etc. Anyone have some good suggestions.....

    It's Been A While....

Your look amazing! And a great inspiration...you give me hope!
  11. Last week was my first week back at work and I so don't want to work! I feel a little depressed. I'm definitly tired and don't have the energy level. I have the luxury of working from home but it is a very demanding job and I am out in the field most days....it's been a great job and I've been very successful at it....but I think I've lost the love of the job....it comes with a lot of headaches and stress (I run the OC division for this company) and I feel like I want to quit - but I know I can't. It's like once I had the time off (I haven't taken any real time off in 2 years) and real downtime, I can't seem to get my drive/desire back.....has anyone else experienced this?

    Am I Alone!?!?!

I'm waiting to feel that also...I'm only 16 days out. I started the mushy stage and thought I was going try all these foods but I have no cravings and it seems more like a pain to eat than it's worth...I just dint want to. I don't miss food and don't mourn it or dream about it. I'm waking for this to change, when I want to eat again. I'm pretty much still doing 2 Protein shakes/day to get the protein in. I'm sure it will cone with time when I will want regular food.

When Was Your First Bm Post Op?

Well here's some TMI.....day 7 and it was very painful and bloody and then after that it's been soft, a little runs but not bad. When I went in for my post op with Dr. he asked about BM and before I could even tell him he said "a little consipated? and was there blood"....apparently this is "normal". Anyway, all is fine and no more pain, it was only that 1 time.

    5 Confessions (Join In)

    1. I confess I am addicted to this site! 2. I confess that being 33 lbs down I don't see much of a difference 3. I confess I have to remind myself that the last time I lost 33 pounds...well actually I can't remember!....I need to be patient. 4. I confess that I'm afraid I will over eat or start eating the wrong foods and fall back into bad habits 5. I'm terrified I won't lose all the weight I want to.

    What's Your Favorite Workout/walking Music?

Thanks everybody.....I've added a ton of new music to my iPhone....when I posted this topic I had started walking...but unfortunately I think I've over done it with getting back to work I have a very demanding job and I'm out in the field most of the day....the last 2 days I started work @ 7am and got back home around 6p.....I have been EXHAUSTED and know that I need to takes things at a slower pace. I ended up with a low grade fever last night but then got 9 hours of sleep and feeling good again today. I'm only 2 weeks, tihs is such a learning experience of what our bodies need and when they need it I am really looking forward to fitting excersie into my crazy work days. Althought with my FitBit (I am in love) I found that yesterday I climbed 10 sets of stairs, walked 1.9 miles and burned over 2,000 calories.....so being out in the field I am getting a work out
  18. So I'm on day 10 and I just remembered that I'm supposed to be on my chewable vitamins!!....between concentrating on getting all the liquids and protein in, I forgot! Anyway, so tonight I took them slowly....but my tummy is RUMBLING and then diarrhea!!! Anybody have this problem with the vitamins? Since I'm day 10 I'm only on protein shakes, water, tea, diet Snapple and broth....maybe just the change in what I'm putting in....but it makes me not want to take them!

Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..

Single here! I've been single for 10 years!....it's been a conscience choice. After marrying and divorcing the wrong guy and then dating the next wrong one after divorce I swore off men and packed on the pounds while raising my 2 boys. Now that they are 15 and 17, it's time for me!....and finding a good man! I was just sleeved on August 2nd and already down 30lbs!...loving it! Can't wait to get to a size where I feel attractive again and start dating!

How Many Nights Did U Stay At Hospital?

2 nights....don't be in a rush to go home It was supposed to be 1 but I couldn't keep anything down first 24 hours....so they kept me an extra night. It's nice to feel good when you go home Nurses and staff were great....you just press the button and they come

    Bodybugg?

I just ordered the FitBit $99.95. There's no subscription fee all the tools online are free. In comparing all the stuff out there I think the FitBit does the most for the least cost.....food logging, monitoring excersie, sleeping patterns, etc. Plus it's really small and you don't have to wear a band around your arm
