It's been 7 weeks since WLS and life is finally moving on in a more normal fashion. I am returning to work next week and actually looking forward to it! I have been walking, but my weight loss has been stalled since last week. I feel great though and that's what counts. I have started a food journal to help me track what I am actually eating. This week I went to our families big summer barbecue and also celebrated my husband's birthday at a steakhouse. The barbecue was challenging and although I did eat about an ounce more than normal, I felt good about not eating the favorite sweets and such that I normally would have. Out to dinner was easier because there was not a buffet of every food I grew up with on display. The 2 oz plastic cups I take with me everywhere are my savior! They help me stay in control of the portions. My goal for week 8 is to incorporate weight training and get more protein in my daily diet. Here's to continued weight loss!

I am just so ready to do this! July 17th seems like forever away and I just wish it would come sooner!!! Summer is officially here, not that the flippen weather in Washington is wonderful or anything, but its Summer! I feel HUGE and I want to wear shorts and tanks, I refuse to go out and buy new clothes. People must wonder why I always wear the same thing lol I refuse to buy one more size X anything! So im stuck wearing the same thing over and over lol in less then 4 weeks I will be in shrink mode and it will no longer matter at least I will be smaller towards the later half of Summer.. find something postive..

So I have been having my food funeral for a few days. to be honest, at first I was excited, I was gonna eat whatever and not feel guilty. Im not really feeling guilty, but I have been eating healthy for so long that I feel like crap. Im tried, unmotivated and just want to take a nap. Which, in my life does not work! I have 5 kids ranging from 6 to 17. I am taxiing tham daily and I need my energy! So it was fun for a few days but im over it ..lol I know that im not going to go back to salads and all the perfectly wonderful healthy things for the next 3 weeks but im definatly going to chill out a bit.. its amazing how what you put in your body effects how you feel on the outside..

It's been two months and four days since I had my WLS and I have to admit, I didn't know how much I had changed physically until today. Don't get me wrong, I knew my clothes were bigger or didn't fit at all. I knew I felt better in a bathing suit than I have in years but I am at that point, that I don't see any major changes. Now, my husband keeps telling me that I am one the "rare" people who have lost my weight evenly throughout my body. I guess he's right, becasue it wasn't until we look my two month photos that I saw a huge difference. Since surgery I have lost fifty five pounds. I have lost eighty five from my highest weight (which I do not have a photo of)

WARNING: These are not pin up photos. They show FAT....lots of it. They show folds and stretch marks and all the things as overweight people we have tried to hidden most of or lives. They show parts of my body that no one besides my husband has ever seen this big. This is very hard fro me to do, but I figured that people need to see that changes do happen after surgery even when we don't feel like they are happening. Also, I always promised to keep my posts honest and real and I figured this is the most honest and real I could be.
