It is illegal to REQUIRE people to have health insurance but their is nothing illegal about imposing a tax upon people that do not have health insurance. And for the rumor that says you will go to jail for not paying a fine if you refuse to get health insurance- this is a LIE! You can not Go to jail, have A lien on your home or your taxes be levied!
