204 lbs., premorbidities: DM, HTN, Hypercholesteremia, ASHD--- sleep apnea--- BMI 36. Definitely qualified for surgery. I want better health most of all and weight loss as well. I knew I could lose the weight but, hopefully I will be able to keep it off with the help of the lap band. (I would have had the gastric sleeve but, insurance will not pay. But, I am happy I could have the lap band.
I have lost 1000's of pounds... off and on for a number of years. (after children)
I had the greatest experience with my surgeons, the hospital I had surgery, including the experience from the start---walking into the hospital to walking out the same day. Probably lasting 6 hours total.
Not saying I didn't have pain but, a managed pain. Thanks to all of them! (and to my hubby, he is great)
Sooooo, a new chapter in my book!
