  1. I also was sleeved on July 11th. I am down 34 lbs so far. I eat between 700 to 1000 calories per day, depending on the extent of my workout. I did have a bit of a stall for a few weeks. I have found that eating a bit more seems to stimulate my weightloss. Also within the last couple weeks, I have finally been getting my protein in consistently. I think my weightloss is little slow, but It always has been. No frustration, I'm just plugging along doing the best I can. Congrats to everyone on your continued success.
  2. Started at 216....down to 203 after pre-op. surgery 7/11.....current weight 184.

    July Sleevers

My surgery date was 7/11, so I'm 2 days past 4 weeks. My preop starting weight was 216...surgery day was 203. This morning I weighed in at 185.5. I'm pleased with that. I did have an early setback with a UTI for Nearly a week. I ran a temp for 5 days and just felt like general crap. It felt like all I did was sleep the first week. Just a few days ago I started feeling like my old self again. Finally! I hope all other sleevers are doing well. Stick with it and success will come.

Post Op Day 1 Fluid Pain

I agree with those who posted before me. Warmer liquids go down easier and TINY sips are key. It got better for me in a couple days. Before I realized it, it no longer hurt to drink.

    When Did You Start Exercising

I've been walking since surgery on 7/11. Just today I was cleared for any exercise and started with 35 minutes of Wii cardio boxing. It felt awesome to move again !!

    Post Surgical Fever?

I had a fever after discharge fe the whole first week. It was between 99.3 and 102.6. Although i was still able to drink, I felt miserable. I was on the phone every day wiith my doc. Fianally at 2nd visit he did bloods and urine. Turns out I have a UTI. On antibiotics for another few days. But I feel 100% better. I'm not happy about how long it took to discover but at least it's being treated.
  7. I was sleeved on the 11th also. My biggest complaint is belly pain, the incision that the stomach was removed. I did run a fever for 4 days after hospital release, but doc says I'm doing fine. I still feel pretty tired most of the time. I'm still on full liquids and doing my best to get in my Water and Protein, although not very successful yet. All meds are going down without an issue. I've had zero nausea or vomiting. Everyday gets a little better ! I hope everyone else is doing well.
  8. That's pain "I" have.
  9. Joy sounds like ur doing well. This morning is much better than last night. I'm doing the spirometer also....can't get above 1250 yet. Feels like I can't really breathe deeply. The only pain u have is gas pains starting. I'm waiting on swallow study results so I can start sipping !!

    Surgey In 5 Days :-0

I agree we all have fears about the procedure. It's tough to put your life into your surgical teams hands.....give up that control. But thinking about it, they are giving the control back to us. I have 4 days to go before I'm sleeved. I have sone fears, but more excitement than anything. My spouse was just sleeved on April 4th. It was tough getting enough protein and drinking enough early on, but not horrible. She's 3 month out and has lost 47 lbs including pre-op. Good luck to everyone. We'll all do amazing!
