    Question, Please Help!

About all I can handle is Cranberry Juice, Orange juice and Tang.... I used to love Propel..not anymore....everything is too sweet.... And everything I drink has to be really cold. I can handle the premium protien drinks from costco but they have to be really really cold... Weird how tate buds have changed....

    Just Sick....

You are probably dehydrated and when you sit up it will cause nausea and cold. I litterly was shaking when I got dehydrated. Two IV bags later and I was good as new...
  6. I went in for my post op and they told me I was dehydrated and they had to give me two IV bags of fluid because as far as I was dehydrated I would not be able to catch up on my own.... Point to ponder.

  9. My pysch evaluation was horrible too. I try to tell myself that he based his opinions on meeting me once and this gives him no authority to form any opinion about me. His job was to evaluate whether I was mentally stable enough to do the surgery..period! Beyond that it is his statistics and opinions...and like A**holes...every one has a opinion too... As far as statistics...I NEVER seem to fall into the catagory. You are fine Rachel....You WILL do great and life will be as wonderful as you make it!! Remember you are not a stat and his negetives are his...not yours!! I am 3 weeks out and I have no regrets...erase his statements...he is just a stat!!
  10. I like the sugar free chocolate and caramel calcium chews from Costco...

  12. I was sleeved on 9/11. Started soft foods today. My dinner was Tilapia and steamed zuccini. It was fabulous!! I feel great. Get a little tired after feeding goats or doing "harder" chores like laundry and sweeping. I feel like I burp alot but otherwise doing well. I get my protien in with no problems and am up to 48 ounces of liquid a day. Hitting 64 oz is hard.... I mix my vanilla protien with orange juice in the morning and then I drink a costco premier protien in the afternoon when I take my iron pill. Love my no caffine tea at night and try to get in water and watered down tang during the day. I can't handle anything too sweet. Love the boxed organic tomato soup and my magic bullet SF puddings and creaming things. My incisions are almost healed. I am down 31 pounds since surgery and 61 since pre-op diet. I weigh in on tuesdays and LOVE watching the numbers go down knowing I will never see those numbers again. I occasionaly get a brain craving for a french fry or pizza but for the most part I am doing fine with my broths, soups, jello, yogurt, protiens, cream of wheat and now fish.... My back is hardly sore at all. I had surgery on it in February and felt the doctor did not fix me. He told me he fixed the hernia and the buldge and I would feel better if I lost the weight. Well...61 pounds later and I am thinking in another three weeks I will be able to clean my barn by myself with no problems. I can't wait! Right now I just hang out in the barn..started doing the grain but still can't lift the buckets and the hay...but soon!!!! Love reading everyones posts..Thank you for sharing your experiences!
  13. I lived with my heating pad on my stomach and left shoulder for about 10 days after surgery...I just recently quit using...I don't remember hurting all 10 days but I do remember the heat feeling very good and releaving pain when I did feel it.
  14. I also had Dr. Crouthamel at Puget Sound Surgical Center in Edmonds. I am 9 days post-op and I have been very well taken care of. I highly recommend them.

    Who Are You?

I am Staci. My husband and I just had our 26th wedding anniversary. We have three children...well guess they are not children anymore. Our oldest Jessi is 30, and our son, Josh is 24 and our youngest, Jacqui is 22. I am an editor for a pygmy goat magazine and raise a small herd of 30 pygmy goats. They all have names and I travel to show them all over Washington. I am missing the Puyallup fair resting from my sleeve surgery on the 11th of Sept. We have 6 cats, ornamental pheasants and 7 dogs. Three Papillons, 2 Basset Hounds, a Chihuahua and a lab. Mind you the only dogs that are mine are the Papillons..the Bassets are my husbands and the Lab and Chihuahua belong to my youngest and her husband. We love animals, camping, the ocean, reading and movies. I recently found out my daughter Jessi and my daughter in law are both due March 11th. We will be first time grand parents!!!!!!!! So exciting. And with my weightloss, I shouldn't hurt so bad anymore and may be able to get on the ground and play with my precious grand babies in March!! Wish me luck!! Nice to know all of you! ***Staisea***

    Puree?

I love my Magic Bullet....but for no cost...you can get deviled ham, apple sauce, rifired beans in a blender, chili in a blender then melt cheese...Cottage Cheese...
  20. I was sleeved on the 11th and released from the hospital on the 13th. I have problems with my breathing and keeping my oxygen up. I am bloated and distended but other than that I feel pretty good. I am not up to 64 oz but I am working toward it. I am using my heating pad a LOT....it really helps with the locked in gases. I am drinking water, protien shakes. I found that I can't drink andy crystal light or propel...just plain water. Today I ate strained tomato bisque soup and chocolate pudding. Love jello and cant wait until the 20th when I can have cream of wheat!! I am off the pain meds so I feel 100 % better. Hate the feeling I get when I am on Roxicet. Down to just vitamins and Mylanta. Don't think the Mylanta is doing me any favors. Probably wont take it anymore. Tomorrow I am going to try strained cream of chicken soup. I also try to remember that 64 oz liquid is liquid not just water...
