Omg my mom is a nut case!!! She always tries to bring out the worst. She constantly puts ppl down. Calls me, this person is stupid this person don't need to wear that. You don't need to do this, you don't need to do that. Four days post op I was starving and had 1/2 cup tomato soup went down fine no problem. I'm on a liquid diet until tomorrow. She was like your supposed to be on clear liquid only your messing up your dumb why did you get this if your not following the rules. Last time I checked tomato soup was a liquid. Then she was like all nice hey you want me to ride with you to the doctor to keep you company?? I was like sure. Then she spilled the beans I can't wait to ask the Dr if you were Supposed to eat tomatoe soup. I was like hell no this is my deal you can stay home if your gonna pull embarrising crap like that. I just don't get her she says I just don't want you to mess yourself up. I think its about controlling what I do. She tried to talk me out of getting the band. Still says stuff like I know a girl who has this band it does'by work for her at all. Your gonna have creepy saggy skin. Ya that girl comes to my job and eats a delux nachos and a sweet tea. I wonder why she is still big??? I'm sorry I just had to vent. Thank goodness I have I have supportive friends and a very supportive husband. He gets so frustrated with her. Babe she always tries to bring you down why do you still even talk to her? Because she is my mom. I just want her support with this band not her trying to snitch me out to my doctor for some type of personal satisfaction. : (

So I've lost a few pounds and I wanted to get my hair done add some blonde. I went to my friend who is an up and coming hair stylist. She has cut my hair and I love it. So I went to her for color. She wrinsed out my foils and we went to the chair for a cut and style. Guys the blonde was fryed! It was coming out in the comb. She started crying and I was like girl its ok I'm glad This happened to me and not someone else. Well I kept my composure and left rushed home called my really experienced hairstlist friend. She rushed down to her salon and out a deep conditioner and told me to leave it over night. She told me my other friend over processed my blonde. Thank God I have thick hair! I have a few short pieces but I can hide them. I'm just trying to look better and feel better and look what happens. I really love my friend and hope this doesn't ruin her. Go figure huh. Just trying to give my young friend some businesses and experience. She didn't make me pay of course. Lap band journey starts off with a bang! I'm 3 weeks post op Tuesday.

You sound like you would be good at hair. I wanted to go to cosmetology school but I've learned through managing a restaurant that I love customer service and business. I've lost interest in hair because I would be devastated to mess it up.

Yeah my husband said he doesnt want me to cut off my hair. I want him to be attracted to me still. Even though he cut off his goatee wich made me sad.

It's scar tissue. I just got over it! It's horrid felt like a burning poker in my stomach! It pulled and burned ouch! I really thought I had done something wrong. I'm fine now it will go away I promise. I took my pain meds and rested once off work.

They charged for me a total of 74,000 and my insurance settled for 45,000 I think its total bs!!!!,

I was banded 6-12-12 I'm down 39 lbs I want to get under 300 soon I have 16 lbs to go. I've been loosing about 2 lbs a week I get my first fill 7-27-12. I'm healing well and love my band so far. I eat off of a saucer plate now and get full. I still have problems sometimes with saying bye bye to my plate even though I'm so so full. I'm working on it my husband helps me he says babe your head hungry your driven to finish your plate go throw it away. He is So supportive.

I'm 321 from 355 I can't wait to say good bye to 300's good job everyone!!!

Omg yes I have that same pain when I sneeze cough or whatever my doctor said it was normal and it was where everything was healing but **** it hurts burns and stings. I want to cry let me know what your ct scan turns out I'm curious.

Do everything was going super great then this thick scat tissue started forming under my big inscisions then pulling and burning under those cuts. I sneeze or cough or whatever and it sends s sharp pain a pulling sharps pain. I called the nurse she said it was normal what do yall think

Well my follow up went really well I like Dr hart a lot!! I didn't see Dr hart I saw Tammy. I like her a lot too. They seem really exited to dee result. I go for my first fill July 27 and in exited. My port area hurts a little though.

I want a budd : ( I have a co worker with the gastric bypass but its just not the same. I also know a younger girl with the band but she isn't even following the rules and is totally immature! I am 330 lbs 29 years old with 2 kids and 2 step kids. Im married with a wonderful husband but he also is clueless and eats me out of house and home. I need someone or more to share my journey with.

My husband came home with the stomach bug today and I'm terrified of getting it. I'm so afraid I'm going to get sick and my band is going to slip. I made him sleep on the couch. The worst part is my tummy feels a little queasy right now. I've been through so much lately I just don't want anything to happen. Anyone else had the stomach bug and come out of it ok. Oh I'm only 3 weeks post op so my band is just barley fitting in and I have no fills yet.

Nope I had ta attend the first initial consaltation then a doc visit for him to find me suitable he turned down my hubby. Then a phyc visit then 1 nutrition visit then blood work then surgery that's it but I did wait a while because the docs office and the insurance got wires crossed oh and 3 years past history of weights

I have uhc through my husband's job. I had no problems getting approved. I had a BMI over 55 so they approved me and I didn't even have a ton of medical history. And I'm only like 1500 out of pocket so far. They have been great!

I have painful hard knots were my cuts were not the small holes just the cuts. They are hard and pull and are in uncomfortable more than anything. Does anyone else have this and does it go away??

Theey shaved my while belly because all my hair is growing back not dark though lol

Thanks guys its almost instinctive to want to gently rub them. Oh I just went out to eat ay a BBQ place after I ate it was like I didn't even touch my plate. I feel like the waitress looks at me funny because I ask for a to go box. The other day I went out and asked if I could get the half plate the waitress actually told me that plate is pretty small. I said I know I have the lap band I can't eat very much. Maybe I'm just thinking ppl are thinking this way.

Omg girl I thought I had it bad that is horrible and right before your wedding day. Well thanks for sharing your horror story with me. At least I'm not alone.

I thought that at first too and that is what I told her but my more experienced hair stylest friend said my good hair that wasn't fried was in very good condition she just over processed it.
