Hi icandothis I am in the same boat thinking about doing the shakes now till surgery, with that being said I don't have a date yet, however all my pre reqs are done. I have decided that I will do all liquid and if I slip then I won't beat myself up about it, I'll just keep trying to make liquid my focus. I also am with you about having it hard to believe that this time next year we will not be the same. I look at my journals for almost 10+ years now and they all say "I will be skinny by such date" and I exercise and diet to no avail, now with WLS it will truly change. Can't wait!!! In someways I guess I accepted my life to always be overweight, now I see that I too am worth every dream and passion I have. Way to go on your journey!!! Can't wait to see all your success!!!!

Um ok :? If u even read my posts you would know I workout. So not sure where ur going with that? And I really don't care if u thing the RNY is bad or not. Again if u don't have anything positive to say why are u commenting on my posts? Seriously you have better things to do with your time I'm sure. I am planing a breast aug, tummy tuck, and some others. The tummy tuck I have to wait until 2014 bc my insurance will cover it The boobs will be done in may or June 2013 Hello happy days ahead I am 28 and if needed I would do other lifts. If I needed a arm or thigh lift I would do this in Mexico but as far as the boobs I am seeing dr Robert Rey the only man I would ever trust with my boobies. Breast is 10k Tummy 10k Thigh and arm in Mexico is 6k

Well this topic has had many very strong beliefs from many people. At the end of the day I need to choose what is best for me and weather it is with someone who has done a million operations or just 30 that is my choice to make. Again I appreciate the support but negitive comments aren't needed. I have learned that the hunger hormone is reduced in both RNY and sleeve and there isn't much of a difference as far as that is concerned in either operation. Next my question was weight loss, let's be honest we all want to lose this weight and fast. So my question was will I lose weight as fast as the RNY and I am still not 100% sure. But I am also going to workout and eat right I have my Protein and everything ready to go. I am still not sure which I will choose but I believe they each have amazing results.

Thanks guys. My insurance is more towards a few docs and he's the best of the few. I think that the sleeve is the best for me and I am looking to have it help me not save me. I am willing to do my part. I love to exercise and eat good but the hunger pangs are what kills me and it's just overwhelming to have to drop 100+ Pounds alone so that's why WLS is my choice and that's why I lean towards the sleeve. But it's funny my therapist, dietitian and surgeon all say RNY I will just wait and see what really feels right.

Good to know. Believe it or not all the people I know personally have all had RNY and love it. But that being said the only reason I would want that is because I've been told u lose weight faster and my dr has only done maybe 30 sleeves. So it's scary to know hes not too experienced with the sleeve. I don't want to have the malabsorption issues but it seems more people lose weight faster with RNY also I am not interested in a lot of hair loss. It's a tuff one.

To all the comments who Just say read other posts, I do read them, however sometimes it's easier just to ask my own question and btw if ur just going to put read the posts then feel free not to post on my post.

@emily thank you for the insight. This is exactly why I asked this question. I also want good absorption of my food and nutrients but I want an need to lose at least 100 but 130 is my personal goal.

Very true. Thnks for ur response. I am thinking about the sleeve but my dr is pushing for RNY. I just want whatever is going to work the best and not leave me with a bunch of issues.
