    I am a food addict

Thanks everybody. I still struggle with the food. I suppose it's a lifelong job. But I feel better than ever, but I'm still stuck with 20 extra pounds. BTW, I had plastic surgery on my stomach and arms to remove the excess skin after the weight loss. I'll try to post pictures later. Thanks again, Christopher
  2. Hello. My name is Christopher. I'm a long time food addict. I had the lap band surgery two years ago and I joined Overeaters Anonymous, a 12 step program like Alocholics Anonymous. I lost 180 pounds, but I've started gaining it back. I discovered that my eating habits and addiction to sugar/flour is still with me. I have a lot to change and learn about my food. My nurtienist recommended this site to keep track of my weight loss. I still need to lose about 20 pounds. I stll go to Overeaters Anonymous meetings in my area. It helps. OA made me realize that I'm addicted to sugar and flour. I am a food addict.

    Excess Skin

I heard that using those shaker things you see on TV does indeed help. It looks weird, but I heard from several people who say it indeed works. You just hold the thing in your hand and a shake up and down. Lifting weights doesn't seem to help. I've tried it myself (I'm male). My doctor says one can't develop muscles to "fill up" the sagging skin. It doesn't work that way, he told me. Otherwise, try plastic surgery. I had it done to both my arms (last month), and I've noticed a big difference. I still have trouble with stretched out skin, but it's not as bad as it was. Christopher
