    Really Really Blew My Progress

    I am having the same problem. food just finds it's way to my mouth. I start out having a good day, 3 mile walk, chicken for lunch, and then if I have any chance to cheat I throw all my hard work away and eat a ton of calories. I am going to start a personal challenge, HOW MANY MEALS I CAN GET THROUGH WITH OUT UNHEALTHY CHOICES. I am eating chicken breast right now instead of pancakes. One meal down and many more to follow on my way to a healthy me. I am worth it...I AM NOT really hungry....eat to live not live to eat. Don't beat your self up BAMABANDER get back to working on a healthy you one meal at a time!

    Wow...wow.....wow

    I am on my second fill and I have always been able to eat chicken breast. Very small bites, and chew chew chew! I poach the chicken breast in seasoned Water. I make a dip for the breast 5 tablespoons plain greek yogurt 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice 1 packet low cal sweetner 1/4 cup chopped cucumber peeled salt and pepper to taste mix all together then mix in small chicken chunks. I also put buffalo wing suce on chicken bites and sprinkle with blue cheese for a spicy meal. Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

    Terrified To Get My First Fill This Week!

    My doctor had me lie flat and then lift my head up. I felt nothing...not even a pinch! I had no throwing up, I was careful the first few meals, after 2 days of liquids I made very mushy tuna fish with a little fat free mayo and lemon.

    Finally A Fill I Can Feel

    Thanks for the great info. I have only had 1 fill and a few days ago I suddenly realized how much I was eating with out feeling full. I was really scared that I had dilated my pouch I could eat such large portions. I have been better the last 4 days because I am forcing myself to eat smaller portions and I give myself a chance to feel full. I still need to work on slowing down my eating. Smaller more frequent meals really does work! I am full and just need to work on not eating out of boredom or emotional eating. I love to eat and this is a life change I will work on for the rest of my life. The more weight I lose the more will power I have...I do not want to ruin all the hard work I have done. I am also walking 2 -21/2 miles a day, that has had a big impact on my weight loss. I am down 44 pounds with 100 to go, banded on April 6, 2012.

    First Appt On 06/13/2012

    I was self pay and I waited about 3 weeks. I met with the surgeon, had my regular doctor do a few tests and was ready. I was on a full liquid diet 1 week before surgery, clear fluids the last 24 hours. I was banded on April 6, 2012. I have lost 44 pounds with 100 more to go. I have my second fill June 14. I walk 2 miles every day and am following my doctor's LOW carb diet plan. Good luck to you!

    Low Carb Banders Unite

    I have been following a strict low carb diet since I was banded on April 6, 2012. I eat chicken, tuna, beef, zero fat greek yogurt, fat free sour cream, hard cheese, cucumbers, and EAS protein drinks. I am walking 2 miles per day. I have lost 44 pounds. I have 100 pounds to go. I was having difficulty with portion size, I felt that I was eating too much, too fast. For the last 4 days I have lowered portion size and increased the number of meals I have a day. I really can see the difference! I am full and satisfied with smaller portions. I have had a few days when I have cheated, I can NOT have any forbidden foods in the house. My grocery shopping I stick with only the above foods. This diet was suggested by my doctor and his staff. It really is working for me. As the weight comes off my will power gets stronger...I don't want to ruin all the HARD WORK I have done! The exercising has improved my mood, and I know it plays a big part in my weight loss. My favorite meal is: Chicken breast poached in water and seasoning 4 tablespoons no fat greek yogurt lemon juice to taste (1 tblspoon) 1/4 cucumber peeled and chopped into small chunks seasoned salt ( to taste) 1 packet allowed sugar free sweetner pepper to taste Cut up cooked chicken into small bites. Mix yogurt, lemon juice, cucumber, salt, pepper, and sweetner. Add chicken bites and enjoy! Hope you enjoy this chicken as much as I do.
