    Tightness Fluxuates?

Hey everyone! I was banded 6/4/12. I currently have 8 cc's. My question is this.. in the morning, my band feels more restricted. In the evening, it feels lose. I feel like I can eat anything (but don't, usually). Is this normal? Thanks!!

Lapband And Wine Or Alcohol Once In Awhile?

I got drunk for the first time since my surgery last night. My surgery was June 4th. I did drink a couple beers (we were playing beer pong) but mostly I did vodka shots. My secret to never being a cheap date is to drink lots od poweraide zero while drinking. It keeps you very hydrated. As far as carbonation goes, I don't have discomfort. I just can't chug it. Small sips are best.

    Sodas

My doctor has no issues with patients drinking carbonation as long as it's diet and not regular.. and in moderation. I was banded 10 weeks ago, and occasionally I have diet coke. I take SMALL sips. And like another poster mentioned, having fountain or 2 liter soda helps lessen the carbonation. I never get uncomfortable or burp when drinking it. I just take it easy.
  8. I'm going to message you! :]
  9. Newbie Question: Not sure what just happened to me- if I got stuck, slimed, or what! Help me out here. I was eating lunch. I started with 5 crackers. I didn't think that would be too rough (I have 5cc's in my lapband AP). So I finished the crackers and immediately felt this intense chest pain. I tried to let it pass. I figured maybe I was stuck, so I chewed up a couple papaya enzymes. No relief. I started to get a hot sweat. I ran to the bathroom and puked. When I puked- it wasn't food. Just a huge ball of saliva and slime. Huge. Was that a sliming and stuck combo? I am NEVER eating crackers again. LOL. I still have some chest pain...

    Bandster Hell Is Among Me!!!

Thank you everyone for the diverse and encouraging answers!
  11. Hello everyone, I was banded on 6/04/12. I have not had my first fill yet. That is two weeks from now. In fact, I don't feel like I've had surgery at all! It's pretty crazy, I can eat whatever. I've gained 2 of the pounds back I lost on preop! I know I've got to be patient and continue to work hard. But does anyone have any words of advice or support you can give? I'm not the most patient person, but I'm working on it. ~ Kristin

I'm not self pay... Perhaps you got me confused with someone else? things are good though. Surgery was June 4th. No complaints, other than the fact I'm anxiously awaiting my first fill! Lol

  15. Super old thread... but... I am also in Cincinnati, looking for band buddies! I was just banded 6/4/12. I am 27, have one son who is 6, am married, and generally pretty easy to get along with. If anyone is looking for lapband buds, message me!
