Who Else Had Their Final Appointment Today?

5 more weeks for me. Getting anxious!! Next week I finally get my surgery date, then the countdown really begins. -
Giving up soda wasn't a big deal for me, but all the sudden this weekend I'm craving a 2 liter of Diet Coke. Hope the craving passes.

My bp has been borderline since my pregnancy and today the doc says my triglycerides are high so I'm glad I decided to have this surgery before my health gets out of control.

Went to my new doc for an annual physical exam and had to ASK for her to give me routine blood work. I'm going to chalk it up to my being her first patient of the day and not having a cup of coffee yet. Lol!

Excited about how things are moving along. I meet with my surgeon on the 23rd and get my tenative sugery date, which hopfully will be in December!

It's kinda weird to think that in a couple months I'll have no reason to go to buffets anymore, but I guess I haven't been going that much lately, anyway.

I remember during my teens and 20s going shopping with my mother in stores that were divided between "ladies" sizes and "plus sizes" and during my many diets her commenting that soon I would be shopping over on the non-plus side of the store. Well, January of last year my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. They found it earlier than they do with most patients, but the survival rates for pancreatic cancer are not the best. Less than 5% make it 5 years. The cancer was gone for a while after treatment, but it's peaking back again now, so she's on bi-weekly chemo. She feels great and has a wonderful attitude, but I would love for my mom to finally see me in non-plus clothes.

Weight's plateuing. Not seeing anything significant in the food diary that would warrant it. Eh, I'll exercise a bunch tomorrow and see how it looks in a few days.

Length Of Hospital Stay?

I was told originally it would be an overnight stay for WLS because they want to check for leaks the next morning, but I'm not sure if that really applies to Lap-Band or not, since it's just a few sutures they put in. -

I dled the app but once I started saving stuff it told me I used up all my phone space. BUT, I still use it, I just go on the website to track. It's been helping me sooooo much with losing weight before getting the band. I only have 2 friends, and the one is a royal slacker. She'll go on about how she's pinning all this stuff on Pinterest for work-outs and stuff, but it never says she tracked any exercise and I'm always seeing the "has not logged in for 3 days" notices for her. My username is MystieMei if anyone wants to add me. -

I don't plan on hiding it. Whoever wants to give me ill-informed misinformation if going to feel 2" tall right after I'm done refuting, so they can go ahead. I have a great support group, though, so I don't think that's going to be a real problem for me. I can see hiding it, though, if you have co-workers or family that's going to act inappropriately over it. The haters can just go ahead and drink their hater-ade. -

I'm really excited for this month's pre-op appt because month 4 we meet with the exercise physilogist and get resistance bands to work out with.
