You'll have to make choices for the rest of your life. I have $1, I'm hungry and I'm out and about doing errands. Hmmmm, the $1 menu or stop by a real store and get a piece of fruit. Living in San Antonio, TX I deal with this a lot. Taco places on every street corner and I really want one. But, make the wise choice and this lap band journey will take you to places you've always wanted to go but couldn't.

Boyfriend Totally Against Me Getting Lap Band
TexasJeff replied to a1990's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I see a boyfriend that'll be kicked to the curb in about 6 months. He doesn't deserve a lady like yourself. A lady that wants to better herself an he is so ignorant. Purge yourself of this inbred, self centered, #%^#^**^%%+*. He's afraid tht he'll lose you when you have that hot, smoking new body a. Others around will be saying HEYYYY!!!!! look at you!!!!! -
Well HOWDY!!! San Antonio here.
-
I'd jus say "yep, 40 pounds in just one day". Hope it happens again tomorrow!!!

Not a problem. If you find the unsweetened isn't your thing, add a packet of Splenda. That'll do the trick.

I've just started using Almond Milk with my protein. I get the vanilla un sweetened and use vanilla protein. Not bad at all and only 40 calories a cup for the milk.

I too had a similar questions about this topic. I didn't want anyone know about my surgery either because I was embarrassed and felt somewhat of a failure. It's been almost a year now since my surgery and I tell anyone and everyone that wants to know about my experience in WLS. With sharing the info with guys at work, 3 of my co-works have had the surgery. My priorities of life have changed on their own as I continue this journey. I have a DESIRE to do more physical things. That doesn't mean I've become a gym rat. I work around the house, installed 2,000 feet of hardwood flooring. Put a garden in that required moving 25 yards I dirt by hand. I take my dog to intense dog tarai g classes. I go to the farmers market. Before surgery, I wouldn't even get out of my lazy boy. I would assume some of your friends have weight issues. Be a mentor to them and get them moving and active so the do t need a surgery.

Holy #@&*% This Is One Wickedly Hot Pepper!

Don't you need a permit from the nuclear regulatory board to grow something like that. Lol. Be sure to post a video on YouTube if you can find a fool to eat that pepper. -

I live in San Antonio, TX. home of the 4 horseman burger that you may have seen on Man vs food. A half pound burger with jalapeño,serrano, habenero and ghost chili on it. I e seen 2 people try to eat it. They get about 2 bites in and start puking for the next hour. I work with a guy that ate it. He said he was in pain for 4 days. -

A chili Pequin is native here in Texas. They grow wild and kinda looks like the pepper you posted. Hotter than a jalapeño and Serrano but not as hot as a habenero. I love spicy food but can't do them since I've been banded either. It feels like a lump of coal in my gut if I eat something to spicy. I can still do most jalapeños though. -

Considering The Band... What's Your Take?
TexasJeff replied to YourPalBigAl's topic in The Guys’ Room
What everybody is saying is so very true. I've been banded for the past 10 months and most of the time I forget that I have the band. It has become such a part of my life now. I know what to eat and how much to eat. I was very similar in size as you. I'm 6'2" and my highest weight was 330. Had the surgery at 295. I wore the XXXL t shirts and the 48 pants too. Now, I have no X's before the L. My pants are 36. I'm sure I'll have to buy XL just for the extra length but they'll be big in the gut. Find a support group, go, and visit with those that are banded. I've yet to meet someone that's been banded that doesn't want to share info. BTW, I have UHC and they paid 100%. Maybe if you submitted paperwork as this is a necessary surgery to cure other health problems then maybe they will pay more. -
It's always a satisfying moment when you have a early morning work out at Camp Morning Wood. Maybe you should start training for a triathlon. That would require working out morning, noon, and night. You would be the most fit guy at Camp Morning Wood.
-
Go to a nudist camp and let it all hang out for a weekend of R&R. It's worth a try,
-
If you have UHC they may waive the 6 month waiting period. I saw my Dr last August 10 or there about, had my surgery Sept 20. The total bill was $63,000. My part, $0 Wonder why self pay is generally under $20,000 and insured is $50,000+???

Atta boy. In wish I had done this. Be sure to post on here whenever you put new videos up.

I'm swelling with anticipation here at Camp Morning Wood. It's going to be a wonderful day!!!!
