Ah okay makes sense. Hmm wonder which is the better for follow

It is supposed to be. My measuring cup says four ounces on one side and half cup on the other. I use my food scale to ensure I am 100% accurate. So I take it you can eat a half cup?
-
I have been measuring out four ounces on my food scale and eating it over a half an hour. My doc said I shouldn't finish a meal before 20 mins. Do you think it's okay then? Sorry I am very paranoid now :X

Never got a prescription for one... Now even more worried

Now I am nervous.... I am one week out today. First day on full liquids and four ounces of yogurt, pudding or Protein shakes don't make me feel full.

I know they kept telling me the same thing. So my hubby and I plan on having a vow renewal in say 5-10 years and then I will be PROUD of my photos!

Thanks it was from my wedding in March. Seeing my size in the pictures is what really broke the camels back for me. We spent so much and I am not happy with myself in them. Lol. As far as how I am doing post-op... my pain has actually been pretty minimal. I get sore and tender in spots at some times, but nothing has been excruciating. I have been taking childrens tylenol from the pain. Day 1-2 post-op it was hard to keep food down and I was vomitting a lot. Since day three I have not been naseous at all and the worst of my problems have been gas and some loose bowel movements.. TMI I know Feel free to private message me if you want to chat more or have any other questions!

That's wonderful! Good luck to you on your journey!!!

Hello nice to meet you! Welcome to the forum! My name is Amanda and I am 24 years old. I weigh quite a bit more than you at 376 lbs. When I started my journey in July I was almost 450 lbs. I was sleeved last Wednesday 11/14. Good luck with everything and be sure to follow everything your doctors tell you!

And a lot of the food items are small and individually portioned! I love her site so much. I cook from there all the time. Dashingdish.com is also a great site. You should check it out

I know what you mean. I have lost 70 lbs and am still in my same clothes... Granted they are loose but not loose enough to go down a size. It's frustrating, but I think I stretched these clothes out so much before so that is why they still fit.

I just want to say thanks to everyone for all of your support and motivation. Everyone on here is so inspiring. I think you all are right and in about 6 months I will look back on this decision and consider it one of the best decisions I ever made (apart from marrying my husband). Thanks for the ideas to watch videos on youtube of other's success. I spent a lot of last night watching some. I am currently having greek yogurt this morning and that certainly calmed me down some! Thanks again for letting me vent and being there for me!! You all are GREAT! <3

... describes how I have been feeling for the past few days. I was just sleeved on November 14th. I am still on Clear liquids and tomorrow I can start full liquids. I am just so depressed. I want real food. Constantly I smell and see food. I know everyone else is complaining about things like this but I felt like I needed to vent and get it off my chest by typing it up. I am afraid I will never be able to eat the food I was before again. I am not talking about the fatty food perse but more like all the healthy meals I was making for the 3 months that I had surgery. All I want is some cauliflower crust pizza or spinach dip bites... My husband keeps consoling me and trying to remind me WHY I made this decision and that it was a good decision, but I am having such a tough time with it today. Went for a walk today at the mall to help my brother pick a gift out and all I could smell were pretzels. Torture... never doing that again. I am just really questioning if I made the right decision or if I should have just stuck to a diet low in calories and fat. I lost 200lbs when I was 18 with diet and excercise. I tried it again but didn't have the same success thats why I originally looked into VSG. I guess I just need to STFU, put my big girl panties on and stop being such a baby.

Is that on time for you? My TOM came my day of surgery!!! A couple days early... Sooooo annoying! Stupid body lol

Thanks! Yes I am on clear liquids till Wednesday. I am going to double check with my surgeon though since my post-op follow up appt is not until the 27th

I keep seeing everyone post about not having bowel movements. I have been having the opposite. Diarrhea all day off and on. It's beyond annoying anyone else with this? One good thing is I weighed myself this AM and lost 13.8lbs since Wednesday . Woohoo!!

I got home yesterday. Surgery was good and my pain has been relatively low. It's just sore. I was so nauseous after my swallow test Thursday. I didn't want to go home. Happy I am home now. Had a full nights worth of sleep in my bed propped up with pillows! Still have lots of gas. It's annoying but not very painful. Hope everyone is doing well!!! My incisions were sealed up with dissolving stitches and surgical glue. Anyone else have that? Had no drain. Was happy about that!
-
I wish everyone luck today!!!!!

Wish mine was that early!! Mine is at 1pm and I need to be there 2.5 gruling hours before at 10:30am. Ugh! LOL
