Stall Advice Needed
KristieAtkinson replied to KristieAtkinson's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I do elliptical for 35 minutes a day & alternate weights & swimming laps every other day. I keep my heart rate up in the fat burn reading on the machine. I'm getting 64 oz or more every day. I know I should be pleased with 85 pounds but being stuck for a month after surgery is making me crazy. I'm afraid I'm missing something. -
If you add about an inch of cold water to your protein in a separate cup & stir with a fork before you add the hot coffee it doesn't clump. I do the same for iced coffee, and use a blender bottle sometimes too. I hate the clumpies! Hope that helps. I'm gonna have to try Starbucks.

I drink coffee. I use sugar free creamer & Splenda. I also add a scoop of Protein & kill 2 birds with one stone. My fave is Starbucks Via Iced Coffee with a scoop of protein, Splenda & SF creamer.

Nsv... I Went From 5:45 Am To 5 Pm Without Using My Wheelchair...
KristieAtkinson replied to tjmom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have trouble sleeping but I always have. I was taking Ambien before surgery. After surgery I didnt sleep well for like a whole month. Dr says, oh, Ambien doesn't work well after sleeve. So now I take something else. A lot of people that have had the surgery said their bodies just do not need that much sleep anymore & all the extra energy makes it tough to sleep. -
Back Pain Remedies?
KristieAtkinson replied to It's all new's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Actually my girls went down a whole cup size. (sigh) I'm a "B" now. :-( I bet bigger ones are making you miserable. But I agree with no chiropractor. Massage is your better option for feeling better. -
Mine was exhaustion from surgery & low vitamins. Im sure lack of protein & water made it worse. I felt ready to collapse after small tiny walks & pre surgery i was doing 2 1/2 hours a day at the gym. I was freaked out. Just keep taking those small walks & eventually you will be feeling fabulous.

Back Pain Remedies?
KristieAtkinson replied to It's all new's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my back start hurting all day every day after losing so much weight. The doctor said its cause your center of gravity changes. Your body has to adjust to how your core supports your spine. It definitely wasn't over exercising. (I've done that too & know the difference). Unfortunately I just had to wait it out. I'm sure it's going to come back as my weight changes more but right now it's better. Hope yours gets better soon too! -

Almost 3 Weeks Post Op And Very Depressed.......
KristieAtkinson replied to girlfriday's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was stressed over Water & Protein at first. It was so hard to get in all my Vitamins & meds much less water & shakes. Then the swelling from the surgery went down & I was able to drink gulps. I was getting close to hysteria. But it does get better. The rumbles & growling slowed down too. But my stomach still talks to me. Feel better sweetie & know that it gets better. You made the right choice. -

I like the lasagna ones but my FAV is the taco ones. I added Avacado to mine, fat free sour cream & salsa. They rocked. -
I want tickets to the Gun show! Congrats on your success. You look amazing!! Actually you look H O T, hot hot hot baby!

I understand what you mean. I'm in a similar situation. I lost 20 pounds in the first two weeks. Plateaued for 2 weeks. scales has been up & down a pound or two at a time. Finally managed to move 15 more pounds. Plateaued again at 6 weeks out. Now 2 weeks on another plateau. So, to recap, I'm now 8 weeks out at 35 pounds lost. I keep trying to convince myself that more is going to come off but I'm terrified that I will be stuck at 249 forever. Nothing I do seems to help. More calories, less calories, more Protein, less protein, more exercise or less. I think we just gotta relax & work thru it. PS: I lost 50 pounds Pre-op. so I'm at 85 gone. People are really starting to notice & mention the weight loss so it's even more frustrating. I think it's cuz I'm wanting it more.

Frustrated! Busting My Hump... No Weight Loss
KristieAtkinson replied to Pagie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How is it going on the battle with the scale? I'm having the same issue. My doctor wants me to up my calories & Protein intake because I'm burning too much working out. My weight is going up 2 pounds, down 1, up one, down 2 & I know I'm in starvation mode because I'm not having Ketosis breath. Any suggestions on how to get more calories in?
