Mourning My Beautiful Clothes
gaye jarvis replied to Threetimesacharm's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
O boy do I know the feeling! We had a yard sale this past weekend with all the proceeds going to JDRF (my 9 yr old granddaughter is type 1 and wears a pump) and I sold every bit of the clothes that I could wear 4 months and 83 lbs ago. It was kinda sad to see all of those clothes go, I bought from Catherine's, Lane Bryant and Cato, but we made $597.00 for JDRF and my clothes were a big part of that, so it made me feel a little better. -
Way to go! Doesn't a new bra make you feel special. I can't wait till I can buy one from Victoria's Secret!

Hi carmelguy, rest easy, you are gonna be so glad you did this for yourself and your family! I felt the same way, i worried that I wouldn't wake up from surgery, and I did just fine. I am 4 months post op and I'm down 82 lbs, so just know that you got this and tomorrow will be the first day of your new life! Good luck and keep us updated on your progress! Sleep tight!

What Are You Going To Do Now?
gaye jarvis replied to missmachine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I felt the same way you did, I went from 160 in high school (I'm 5'11") to 334.4 lbs on the day of my surgery 4 months ago, you basically stop living when you get that large. I have already dropped 82lbs and I am doing things that I haven't been able to do in years, I almost cry when I'm sitting in church and I can cross my legs, thinner people just think everyone can do that, but that's far from correct! And when I cross my arms I look around to see if anyone else notices that I'm excited! And my relationship with my husband of 32 years has only got better (it has always been good, he's the love of my life that I married when I was 16) but intimacy is so much better now, he's like a kid with a new toy! I am so glad that he's happy with my changing body (I still have 77 lbs till I get to goal) but most of all I am happy with my body! Thank You to whoever it was that figured this whole sleeve thing out! -
Vitamins And Supplements?
gaye jarvis replied to Jenny881's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 4 months out from surgery and I was also having a hard time with my vitamins, I did good with the chewable ones at first then I started throwing those up, so I got capsules and opened them up and mixed it in some crystal lite, same result (all these vitamins came from Bariatric Advantage), so I went to a completely different brand of vitamin. Wellesse, it's a liquid Multi-Vitamin that I got at Wal-Mart for around $6, it has been working great! It tastes like taking a shot of really strong unsweetened orange juice. They also make a calcium one to. Good luck. -
Before And After
gaye jarvis replied to sexysleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
O my! You guys look so much younger! Great job! -
I was sleeved on June 18 and I still can't eat anything with sugar in it! Before my surgery I had a sweet tooth as big as my head and I swear my surgeon pulled it when I was asleep!

I go to the gym 6 days a week, I do 30 to 45 min a day on the elliptical machine (it burns 240 to 355 calories a day) then I do weights for my upper body one day and my lower body the next and I swim laps 3 or 4 days a week, I'm trying to get rid of these bat wings!

We spent a week in Oahu 2 yrs ago, I loved it! If you get away from Waikiki beach its not that bad. We renewed our wedding vows on a beach called Waimanalo Beach, I can't imagine any place on earth being more beautiful than that beach! Oahu has some wonderful things to see... Pearl Harbor, North Shore, Dole Plantation, Matsumotos Shaved Ice, lol. Here are a few pics of the beach.

I tell my husband that he is a serial fondler, and when I reach goal (78 more lbs, I'm down 81 so far) that I'm getting some 16 yr old boobies and he can have these deflated water balloons put on his chest so he can play with them all day!!!
