In Dec, 07 my weight was 352 lbs, my highest weight ever. I got scared enough to take action when my doctor told me I was pre-diabetic. I starting losing weight right away and by April, 10 my weight was 270 pounds. It took 3 years but I did it on my own, proud of that. My weight started to creep back up and by Dec, 11 my weight was back up to 343 pounds. Emotional eating took over during that time as I was experiencing the illness and ultimate death of my sweet little sister. My pulmonologist suggested weight loss surgery and gave me a name and number. He had mentioned weight loss surgery several times over the years but it fell on deaf ears. Something in me shifted and I knew deep inside it was do or die, literally. Since Jan, 12 this year I have gone from 343 pounds down to 300 pounds. All set for surgery June, 25th, 2012.
