    Any June 25Th Sleevers?

June 25th , 11:00 am, Sutter Hospital, Santa Rosa, California. Surgeon Dr. Woodbury who founded healthy Steps Bariatric and Metabolic Center in Santa Rosa. I've been getting everything together for the surgery, can't believe the big day will be here soon. Would be great to stay connected with my June 25th sleevers. Best wishes to all!

    Any June Sleevers?

Had to say goodbye to my primary care physician today after 3 years. I get health care at a clinic and doctors rotate out every 2 or 3 years. She is the best doctor I've ever had, say goodbye was very difficult. She has helped me so much and has been part of my journey until now. The good news is that she told me what clinic she is going to work at. I can't wait to send her a picture of me 6 months post-op, that would make us both happy! One of the last things I asked of her is to suggest weight loss surgery to her obese patients, they can decide what to do with that. I share about my surgery in most cases except when I know the person will be a jerk.. If I hear "why don't use lose the weight on your own?" one more I will pull my hair out. Sometimes I do tell them that there is only a 10% chance of me losing 200 lbs and keeping it off. It sound very intelligent when you state a statistic! I'm down 4 more pounds and see the bariatric surgeon and nurse on the 13th. I could be wrong but I think it will be my last appointment until my surgery on the 25th. Getting all my stuff together for the hospital already. Hope everyone has a good one. Thanks for being here for me:)

    Any June Sleevers?

The key to finding the best deals is research and comparing products. As to any other supplements I meet with the nurse and doctor on the 13th: I have a list of questions. Things have really added up, I've cut into my savings more than I thought I would. I've heard amazing stories from those who are post-op. In the end it will all be worth it!

    Any June Sleevers?

On the 11th I go from 1,300 cal to 1,000 cal per day. Still managing to squeeze in my favorites but in smaller amounts. I've really slacked on my water, no good! I just ordered Isopure Zero Carb unflavored, it mixes clear so I can have it in my "clear liquids" phase. Also got some Celebrate Chewable Vitamins, mandarin orange, yum. Doing all this on a budget isn't easy but worth it, requires a lot of comparison shopping. The EKG is a breeze but the Endoscopy was unpleasant. Best wishes to you & thanks for the reply.

    Any June Sleevers?

The closer I get to surgery the more I think about my relationship with food over the years. Today, while cleaning, I came across my recipe box. I became overwhelmed with emotion and my first thought was to throw my recipes away. My first thought is usually wrong so I put them back in the box and back on top of the refrigerator. At some point I think I will revise my recipes to be post-op friendly. I admit it, I cried... My surgery is 20 days away!! June 25th.

    Any June Sleevers?

I'm 21 days away from surgery but you would think it was tomorrow! Lots of racing thoughts, trying to make sure I have everything. Already imagining the hospital gown and how I need a robe to cover my behind, lol.

    Anti-Depressants

I just got my Wellbutrin changed from Slow Release to the regular formula. Going to crush them with a mortar and pestle for post-op. The pharmacy helped by double checking my meds, telling me whether the formula needed to be changed or not. I definitely would not stop taking anything but rather find a way that works. Hopes this helps.
