    Full Liquids----what to eat!?!

I am currently on full liquids and just starting to feel a bit bored and hungry. The broth really doesn't do it for me, too salty and no taste. So I bought Campbells and Progressive chicken soups and then strained them. The broth had much more flavor for me that way. I can eat creamed soups but have not tried any yet. My Jello sugar free pudding cup was a great treat! other than that its popsicles, Protein drinks, low calorie gator aide. Oh and after 5 days I finally tonight had a cup of coffee, i have been a coffee freak for 30 years so didn't want to give it up. However I know it dehydrates you, so I am taking a sip of coffee and then a sip of Water..... I wanted to use the blender but my doctor specifically said no blender he felt it adds air pockets or whatever..so that was out for me.
  2. i thought i could only have sugar free jello but the nutritionist told me before I left the hospital my doctor ordered full liquids including pudding and cream soups.
  3. just ate a sugar free jello pudding cup and it was the best thing I have had in 5 days!
  4. kids sometimes say the most awesome things, but I am assuming he is one of the reasons you decided to have this surgery because you want to be there to see him grow up. I am only 4 days out but I am sorry that I waited until I was 51 to do the surgery, I think my health suffered and so many things i might have enjoyed with my children had I not been overweight. Hoping to make up with the grandkids!
  5. post op day 4 and so happy to be on this side.

    Sleeved on Dec 6th

Hi, I had surgery 12/5. doesn't it feel good to be home? I too am finally sleeping 3 to 4 hours at a time instead of waking up every hour like I was at the hospital. I am in my bed but rolling over on my side to get up reminds me I am sore. Keep sipping!

    Coffee Withrawal Help

well this is probably not the best advice but is what I decided to do. I have been a coffee drinker for Years!!!!!!!!!!!! and there is no way I am giving it up prior to surgery. I know this means I will spend the first few post op days with a headache but am hopeful the good drugs I am getting for pain will help. Then I have seen so many people say their tastes changed drastically after surgery so hoping mine taste for coffee goes away.
  10. I have to admit I know nothing about landscape business so my comments are with a grain of salt. I assume the winter months may be slower which is why it may actually be a good idea to have your surgery now. Is there anyone, friend, college kid or high school kid off school right now and wanting to make some extra money working under your supervision for a few weeks. try posting in craigslist if you do not know anyone, Friends kids, people at church ?? You will probably feel ok to supervise just not want to lift and bend.
  11. Good luck, your on your way to a new life.

I am happy that your surgery and recovery are going well and look forward to celebrating your success!
  24. *hugs* I am sorry to hear you are going through this. This is time when we need and expect those who love us to be there for us and support us. You say he has been your support and is your only support, but then you say he is hardly there and tells you to leave?? I am a little confused, is he really that much of a support? Is your concern over the surgery if you will be able to manage alone physically?? or is it that you will need someone to care for your children? or is it that emotionally you want to know if one can do this alone? and then I would ask myself how important is this surgery to me right now, is it needed for my health and sanity or would I feel better if I waited. More importantly 6 months from now, will I be glad I waited?Only you can answer that.
