I am fit but fat! I have always been active; however, my weight has gone up and down all my life. I am always on a diet, loose, then gain it all back and then some. Always first in the line, natorious for going back for seconds, thirds and fourths.....never ever felt the feeling of being full. Constantly thinking about where and when my next feeding will be! Joked about my weight to hide the painful truth.

Frustrated and then inspired by a good friend that had the sleeve surgery March 2012. She took me by the hand and went with me to my first Dr. appt. and the lovely Dr. smiled and said, " Honey your not fat". I gleemed with delight! Then he added, " Your morbidly obese". Now if that did not get my attention! He looked me in the eyes and said, "Please do not let anyone change your mind".

My June 29th surgery is around the corner. I am ready for the next chapter in my life to begin. Don't feel fearful. Lets hold hands, unite, enjoy this journey to become the person we want to become, get back to living a good life that the Lord intended us to live.
