I'm now 4-0.. I've been on the fence about Lap Band for about 9 years now. 9 YEARS! Should I? Shouldn't I? Well, the time has come, As you can see, since I AM here, what my final decision has been.. I'm so EXCITED and looking forward to my new life. I've been heavy since I was about 7. I was in pre- op while writing this story, My surgery date was 10-17-2012. Minimal testing needed due to NO underlying health issues except being Obese. I have 2 small children whom I love until eternity, and I want to be as great as a Mom can be. I want to be able to keep up with them, and actually FIT on rides with them , not be embarrassed or be on the sideline ANYMORE. I've been in the Cardiac field for 22 years, love my job, and want to be an example to my Patients as well. I have visions of going into a "Regular Clothes Store" and not having to worry if they have my size or how awful it will look. "I AM READY! SOOOOO READY!! BRING IT ON! I AM FINALLY ON THE BUS!!" i'm FREE.
