I think I'm better off just doing blogs for my full story as I'm still writing my memoirs of it all as not only did i have the sleeve but at day 5 I was one of the few unlucky ones that developed a leak not only one leak I later found out but the entire staple line was disintegrating before his eyes. so I was at first told to pre pair for a long hospital stay Little did I know how long and how many times I would end up in the operating theatre again My surgeon has never lost a Patient and he was not about to allow me to be his first he put his personal life on hold to be on call while I was unstable for way longer than we both would have liked. the few weeks turned out to be 5 and a half months in Hospital and discharged with feeding tube and Robinson's drain insitu this took another 6 weeks. though I was now an out patient I was still very weak and the muscle wastage had to be built back up.. as all of us we are informed about the risks involved I looked at it hmm 3% have a leak never in all my dreams did I even think that I could be one of that 3% and have such a fight for life.. not once but a number of times.. I have most of my life back now though I still fatigue easy and have to pace myself at work all the mountains i have climbed to be back to full health I have to say a great big thank you to MR EFTHIMIOU with out his support and that of the team especially when I not only had the leaks but also threw other things at them.. and their promptness to correct them all. .
