After finding out that I'm approved for the sleeve I came on here for support. Im 25 and have been big all my life. So I want to change that now that I have a child who is 4. I was curious to see if ne one else from my area was on here. I go see the dietition today, to do a weigh in and get a date of when I'm starting my 2-week liquid diet. My surgery date is for July 12th. I've been waiting since September, just glad everything is moving along now sick of waiting around. Just gotta loose 10lbs.

Great job, u look amazing. -
I'm nine days post op and I got the ok to exercise but I went for a walk today and just didn't have the energy to stay out to long. I am no where close to getting in 60g of protein in, is it because I haven't done much and have to work my way up slowly? Not sure what to do but I'm sick of sitting around all weekend and doing nothing.

Ok thanks its kinda depressing but I will get through it, I just waited so long to have surgery and never really thought to much about the recovery time I was hoping 1-2 weeks and I would be back to feeling good but that thought has so changed.

Getting My Sleeve July 23
Paulson1304 replied to mbasile's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think everyone that goes in for the surgery knows the risk of complications they hear from others stories but everyone is at a different time in there lives and different health status so its ok to have them feeling of what if, I know I thought about dying and what if I did so waking up after was the best feeling ever. Many of the surgons have many many years of experience which is why we pick a center of excellent's and I'm sure your going to do great. Best wishes. -

Looking for a good book to read for my stay at the hospital. Ne ideas? -
I like the already made Atkins chocolate shakes, taste just like chocolate milk to me. Tried vanilla and was horrible. Used that for my 2 week liquid diet but havent been able to drink it yet one week after surgery.

1 day post op here, best of luck.:-) -
I had my surgery yesterday at 9:15am and I didn't wake up from the anesthesia until noon, that day was riff but today is much better. Did u need cathetor in? I can't pee on my own they said my bladder is still asleep so I have to wear one now and its supper uncomfortable. Worse part of all this I would say, I go home tomorrow. Good luck.

I say go for it. Best choice I've ever made.

Had Surgery This Morning.
Paulson1304 replied to Paulson1304's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Omg I was up most of the night took little nap's here and there but can't sleep for a long period of time, have no clue why either. Had to have two cathetors put in to drain my urine because my bladder hasn't woken up yet from anesthisa weird never could not pee on my own before. Hope to be able to soon again. Everything is going good only pain were my insicions are but I just push a button and get my pain meds and it goes away. Best choice ever, no regrets.
