Anyone with BCBS-IL know approximately how long it takes for pre-auth approval???

Cathy, I am a type 1 diabetic and my weight loss was good at first but I've been at a stall for a while. My doctor told me that my weight loss would not be as fast because of the diabetes.

I'm from Rocky Mount. Had surgery in July 2012 with Dr. Naziri.

It truly was the best decision of my life. Through all the ups and downs....I would do it again!!!! -
I have never experienced dumping. I still eat hard candy for lows. I have a lot of low blood sugars now. Like down in the 30's. They are trying to regulate my insulin now but it takes time to get me on the correct amounts. But I sure do feel awful when I have low blood sugar.

No, I'll always have it because it's type 1.

I'm type 1 and although the surgery doesn't cure the diabetes ....I require alot less insulin and my A1c was 6.0 at my 4 month mark. I was well over a 10 or 11 before surgery. Just work hard to make sure your blood sugar levels are as low as possible before the surgery. Mine were not controlled and I went into ketoacidosis after the surgery. If you have any specific questions I'll be happy to answer them. Best of luck!

Blood Sugars.

It should get much better. I am type 1 and while I'll always be on insulin....it has definitely helped my blood sugar stay in control. That never happened prior to surgery! -

I'm not sure of the sugar content but I think one container has 8 carbs and 12 proteins. -

How do you like the pump?? I'm considering it??

I've seen many friends leave the hospital no longer on insulin. It depends on the person. I have type 1 so I'll always be on insulin but it takes a lot less to control it. Rarely do I see a reading over 200 anymore. Only when I'm sick or stressed. Best of luck to you!!!

I've been buying clearance or at the Goodwill because I drop sizes so fast.
-
Shopped a little yesterday and it was so nice to walk into a store and NEVER step into the plus section. I didn't buy much because I drop sizes so quick but it definitely boosted my confidence! Even if it was a large or XL in the junior department! I don't remember ever shopping there!

I love her website!!!!

Actually I didn't cook much prior to my surgery. Now, I wanna cook all the time! I am constantly looking for and trying new low carb recipes.
