I've been eating cream of chicken and don't have any issues. I water it down with unjury chicken soup protein. And I only eat about 2 oz. at at time. No problems at all.

I'm not even coming close to getting in my protein each day!! How much do you drink at a time??

I wish I knew!!! I have to drink 2 oz every 2-3 hours and it makes me sick to smell it! Got another week on just protein before I start pureed foods and I'm ready for that!!!

The stress from the surgery caused me to go in to ketoacidosis. My blood sugars were extremely high. Trouble breathing and high heart rate. I was moved to the step down ICU. Don't remember anything for the first 24 hours. Other than that....things are getting better! Best of luck to you!!

What did everyone do for protein/food during the first two weeks after surgery??

They told me that mine would after the surgery....WELL, now they've realized after all these years I have type 1 and the surgery does not help that :-(

I have BCBS of IL....it took 2 days for my approval but I called them. I've worked for insurance companies for over 15 years so I know you gotta stay on top of it. Good luck! -
