I take the Nutrametrix multivitamin (w/ iron) and their Calcium supplement at the advice of my NUT. I have had zero issues.

I am 7 weeks post today and just drank my first beer last week. I had a Guinness and tolerated it pretty well. It's not nearly as carbonated as typical beers, so gas/bloating wasn't an issue. I will say that even with it's low alcohol content, I felt it after just one glass. At this point I definitely wouldn't want more than one at a time.

I was craving red meat starting right away at the beginnig my 2 week pre-op diet, all the way through the first 4 weeks post op. As soon as I hit that 4 week mark, I bought a little fresh ground chuck and threw a mini-burger on the grill. It was the most incredible thing I've ever eaten, pre- or post-op.

How Long Do I Need To Take Off From Work?
Cerebus replied to 136HereICome's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my surgery on a Monday morning and was back to work the following Monday. As a contractor, I don't get PTO so I couldn't take off any more than necessary. However, that was too short IMO. That first week back at work I felt like crap. By the second week, I felt much better. So for me, 2 weeks off would have been ideal. -
For my UHC plan to cover the sleeve, it was 35+ and a co-morbidity, or a BMI of 50+. "Luckily" I was in the 50+ category as I have no co-morbidities. They did waive the 5 year weight history though.

How Much Walking Did You Do in the Beginning?
Cerebus replied to TigerLily's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 4.5 weeks post and walk 3.25 miles (almost) every night. The first time I tried walking, for exercise that is, was 2 weeks post. I made it a mile and realized it was catching up to me fast. I turned around and about 1/2 way home didn't think I was going to make it ...things were cramping, my stomach hurt, I had zero energy all of the sudden, etc. Needless to say, I eased back into from there. -
Thanks everyone. Cheri, you are correct ...it felt great to go sub-300. I haven't seen a leading number less than "3" in a long time.

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Frank and I am now 4 weeks post-op. My surgeon was Dr. Singh and I had my surgery done at St. Agnes in Baltimore. I was at 330 pounds before the 2 week pre-surgery diet, during which I lost 15 pounds, and I've dropped another 25 since the surgery.
