    new journey 7/24/13

Congratulations on the weight loss, isn't exciting to see the scale move down for once?! I found this site just after my surgery as well and thank goodness otherwise I would have been lost. The support group where I used to live just wasn't very active, most of what you need or want to know can be found on here anyway. Just always be sure and double check with either the Doc or the Nut on info you find here to be on the safe side.

    Bigger than the rest....

I am one year, two months and sixteen days pre-op, I started at 275 and now I'm down to 150. I have about 20 pounds to go till goal and I'm struggling with a hard stall. When I went though the surgery I never could have Imaged myself a size 12 / 150 pounds, it was inconceivable. This has been the hardest/best thing I have ever done. Changing how I eat, exercising everyday, and really focusing on the hows and whys of what got me here in the first place. I have to say if I could go back and do it all over again, I would plan. I would set goals and have a real exerciser plan in place. I exercise daily, but when I started out I had no Idea what I was doing and felt so lost. So If I can share just one thing with you, have a real plan in place for daily/weekly exercise, this above everything else in my opinion will get you to your final goal.

    Torani SF syrup Recipe Ideas?

This is the first time I've ever posted here, lol. The sugar free coffee syrups are great! I love them. There is a blog that I follow called the world according to eggface - the lady who writes it had gastric bypass in 2006 and shares a ton of recipes using the sugar free syrups. Heres a link to her recipe/syrup page ( http://theworldaccor...ree-syrups.html ) I've tried a bunch of them and the recipes always turn out great! she (the world according to eggface) says - " How do I use them? I add my syrups to Protein shakes, Desserts, Protein Ice Cream, Fage yogurt, ricotta cheese, SF cocoa, cream cheese, iced tea, lemonade, steamed "milk" (I'm a soy girl but you could use the real stuff), protein balls, oatmeal, and of course in coffee and coffee drinks."
