About Me
So.. After over 7 or so years of going up and down on the scales, I've decided that I'm tired of it. In high school, I was athletic and weighed a solid 150lbs at 5'7". I was happy with with my size and shape. Now... I'm well past that at 278lbs. I'm definitely not happy about where I am but I'm excited about where I'm going.
I've tried many diets over the past few years. Slim in Six, Medifast, Atkins, Lo-Carb, No-Carb, Cleanses, Herbalife, Bee Pollen, to name a few. I did Adipex back in 2009 and lost a whopping 40lbs from 242. Moved and stopped taking it and the weight came back with a vengeance. Went back on Adipex with my current doctor and my body isn't responding to it.
After reaching 286 pounds, I started Zumba and changing my eating habits. But after injuring my knee, I could heal properly with all the extra weight. So working out has been hard. After dealing with this for almost a year, I finally decided to go with RNY.
I'm a bit nervous but I hope it all goes well. I'm going to keep an optimistic outlook.
