I had pre-op today. I was so nervous but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Video, Consent forms, blood draws, group class, meeting with surgeon and anesthesiologist (sp). I wanted to try going back to work after a week and a half but my surgeon says no sooner than 2 weeks and 3 at the most! I think I'm going to go stir crazy at home. So it looks like I possibly won't be back to work until December. Time is certainly flying! How are all our November Post-Op sisters doing?

I'm so nervous, I don't know what to do! My surgery is on the 14th and I've told all the important people in my life about it. They are all supporting me and are excited. I, on the other hand, am as nervous as can be. I think that's what happens when you look at google too much. I'm being such a worry wart right now and keeping thinking that this wont work. But then I come to my senses and realize that this surgery doesn't fail too often, people fail the surgery. I think I just have jitters because my pre-op is tomorrow and I'm wishing all the ladies well for a smooth surgery and quick recovery. I'm also nervous that I'll lose friends because of this. They are supportive now, but will they continue to be? I'm glad I have all the wonderful people here in RNY for support in addition to my husband and our families.

Oh wow! I used to drink it awhile back but I couldn't finish one bottle of it because it had a funny taste. No wonder! Hey tbooks. I'm in Raleigh, NC.

Eeyoregirl & Vicki, I think that's true. We nervous because this in essence is a second chance and such a major step! We all need to keep in touch to support each other through this. I saw another forum about secret pals. Maybe that's something we can start up here! That way we have a stronger support of one another. I think another member is trying to start something similar under the recipe forum. Best if luck to everyone! We will all be on the losers bench in a matter of days! Prayers and thoughts for you Vicki in making the transition tomorrow.

I really like that too dotted! Sort of a vision board for after surgery. That will give me something to do to take my mind off of things.

Dawn, thanks so much! I will write a letter to myself to keep as a reminder if why I'm doing this. Your response helped my nerves a bit an I will take your advice and be proactive about things.

Aww, crstalww! We're all praying for you! Everything will be okay! Just breathe, hun! It will be over before you know it and you'll wake up on the losers bench.

Dotted, I'm trying to stay away from google too! It has certainly scared me. I've only told my close friends and family. I haven't really had any negative responses. Most just ask why and say I understand and support me after hearing my reasons. My friends and family are so protective that they just want to make sure this wasn't a just because idea. I've only had two reactions that made me know bring it up any further... A coworker was being nosey and noticed I was reading a book on my nook about WLS and decided to give me his unsolicited 2 cents about how if I'm thinking about it, don't because he didn't think I need it. (The nerve of some people.) Thank God for the support if my husband and you wonderful ladies!
