I am now dealing with a new coordinator as of today. The problem I have is I went in 2 weeks ago, saw the surgeon...got paperwork with my expected date on it...started my preop diet and 2 days ago I discover it was never ever sent out for Approval.....the lie I received was that he did send it out on January 8 but then retracted it this week....that sounds sooooo stupid to even utter....how do u retract an insurance request...over a month alater....and bigger than that, are you still not done with the lies....I have come to the conclusion that maybe the expression "people don't like the truth" may be true for some. It is not for me. Hopefully the new person understands I have no desire to be played with..If I could have picked up my info and left the office yesterday, I would have...I just refuse to start over when I thought this nightmare process was almost over. I have been told repeatedly...by more than 3 different people in my surgeons office that my packet was turned in on january 8.... Yeah, that was a long time ago.....and yes I have not received a response because it was never done. I like honesty. They have really pissed me off. My date is february 28th but I am still waiting on approval from insurance....I don't think it will become real to me until they call and say I'm approved....why is ghi playing with my emotions??? My Bmi is 37.5 and I just got blood work back, my doctor said it looked dreamy...ugh!!!!!!!.....everything was perfect, I am soooo frustrated...now my only chance is the sleep apnea test...I really truly have a tough time sleeping but I have no idea how this will go....if anyone could give me a bit of invite, I would be oh so grateful....I go in next week for the test...I sooo need this..I have empire bcbs as well....thanks

Unfortunately, I have no idea as I have not even had my first consult with Dr. Brett Cohen ....I go in on 28 th....hopefully I will have some insight on how long my process will be....I was told my insurance doesn't require anything but an approval and letter from surgeon...I hope I get good news on the 28 th.....how r u doing????

Being the coupon queen I am, just thought it would be of interest to some of you....a $5 coupon is in the paper and the 30 ct box is on sale for $8.99 at cvs...minus the $5 q plus you get $2 extra care bucks.....makes it $2.......there is a limit of one per card. I would like to first introduce myself.....I have been lurking for a month now and I took the plung and attended a seminar this past monday. I had my first pcp visit with a dc they referred (from the seminar) and I am having blood work tomorrow and a sleep test in the following 2 weeks. I have empire bcbs insurance from the city of new york and I live in south florida now.....now I am ready to throw some questions out there....thanks for welcoming me in advance 1. Has anyone had experience with Dr. Cohen in Broward county?..He seems very professional and on his game, but what do I know...lol 2. If I have a bmi of 40.3 and I have sleep apnea (with I am almost positive I have), will have to have a 6 month wait?...and when can I drop below the 40 bmi without the insurance giving me problems...I am a great dieter and I have nooo desire to stay like this for six months...should I at least wait to diet after I submit my weight to Dr. Cohen's office?...My pcp documented it today and that was it. 3. Dr. Cohen and my pcp work hand in hand together and the nurse reassured me that I was in good hands...does this mean my process will go rather smooth ....as they seem to have tons of experience with working together.... thanks for reading my rant.....I can't wait to become and offical loser!!!!!!!
