Personally id go on liquids for atleast 24 hours that way if its swollen it can begin to heal without food stretching it out. If you dont feel better in a day or two id gead back to the doc it never hurts to make sure everything is ok.

Try to sleep proped up that way it can still work its way down threw the night and you dont have a huge pool of spit getting trapped behind it in your band. Middle of the night choking is never fun.

Absolutley! I went from a 9 to a 7. Before surgery I had a lot of swelling in my feet and now I dont so they are much smaller.

Took me about a week but I still 5 years post op get it occasionally. Walking and gas x are your friend!

Oh man... I cant do it lol I have a round head and when I have short hair I look like a pumpkin! Its finally after almost a year of trimming and conditioning getting long and healthy! Thinking about askin the hubby to get it professionally dyed for my one year anniversary gift

Oh yea you so just reminded me of a post op situation ..i to had a yeast infection due to antibiotics! So if she is still feeling any discomfort it wouldnt hurt to check with the doc.

I have 5 small scars 4 you really cant see at all anymore only one visable is from my port its maybe 4 inches long. I believe it would probably be lighter by now to but ive had a couple port revisions so its been reopened and had to reheal

Truly i was not in all that much pain. A few hours after surgery yes because the gas leaving my body. It was uncomfortable not unbarable. 6 hours post op i was walkin around the hospital.. Slowly but walking on my own. Day 2 i went to a reunion at the park and day 3 i walked to the dentist. Its more discomfort then pain. I wish you the best and i hope he changes his mind and perhaps once youve had the surgery and he begins to see your success he will. But i truly feel awful for your sitiation i couldnt imagine the person i need the most being unsupportive. Id take him to a doc appt. Maybe the doc could help explain that diet and exercise isnt always enough for everyone and that just because you diet and lose doesnt mean its easy to keep off. No matter what i did i couldnt lose it and keep it off. I just hope your decison about the band doesnt change just because of what he thinks because it is about you,your health, and your future in the end not him.

Im truly not sure why people get so worked up over silly things. When i log on threw my phone every post from every category for the past 3 days loads not individual categories. I read the title and if its not something i want to read i move along to something else. To the original poster of this im not highly religious but i enjoy your posts stay inspired if god keeps you modivated thats wonderful congrats on your success!

Both my parents have a 4cc band and they have done wonderful with no complications. They are both 6 years post op now down over 300lbs combined!

Understandable but there has to be girls out side of them that could feel those needs. Honestly i dont even talk to guys who where rude when i was fat. Not worth my time. Yes i look diffrent but im the same girl n woulda been the same badass gf then. But no people are shallow so i to have set my standards above dirtbag.

I gained 7 back but i expected that becausr i was dehydrated

special K has a new kind of cracker out i was just looking at them! your get 23 crackers for 90 calories and there is no way i need 23 crackers so i could eat far less for way less calories! (approx 4 cals per cracker) and i buy the low fat whipped cream cheese veggie dip you get 2 table spoons for 40 cals and i add jalapenos to it which is nothing in cals because you need an entire oz of them for 5 cals and i only use 4 or so. So for around 60 cals a nice snack thats delicious!

UMMM are you my twin? jk but seriously i have 75 pounds to go to before we try again and its so frustrating. We have went threw 2 miscarriages and until im at a healthy weight we are not trying again. I cant believe how many people are pregnant that i know. My two best friends are pregnant and all three of my aunts have had their baby within the last three weeks. And dont get me started on all the people who come into my work pregnant! Really depressing but makes me wanna work that much harder to get there!

Sad but even in a hospital that preforms bariatric surgery the staff is not well informed on our needs and most surgeons for WLS have their own office and only use the hospital for the operation room.
