I'm 2 weeks post op and have only lost 15 pounds which includes my 2 week pre-op low carb diet! My doctor and my nutritionist told me not to look at the scale and that it can take 6 weeks for the real weight loss to kick in. Your body is adjusting even though the calorie intake is low. A little patience is all that is needed. Be sure you are getting the rest that you need too! Good luck and I'm sure you'll do great!

Trader Joe's greek style yogurt is unbelievably good. Add honey or splenda to cut the tartness and it has 24 grams of Protein in 1 cup! Great way to ramp up the carbs!

My sleeve surgery was 1-27-11 and had diarrhea almost everyday for 10 days then it stopped. 2 days later I had the worst bout of constipation I have ever had in my life. My doc advised Miralax which took about 5 hours to work but it did and I felt like a new person. For new patients I would definitelty have some on hand just in case, I will now incorporate some benefiber regularly to make sure it doesn't happen again! My nutritionist said it should get better once you incorporate some whole grains into your diet.
