Why Can't I See Me The Way Everyone Else Does Now

Have you considered hypnotism? Some would say it is radical but it does work on changing how you think about things. Congratulations on achieving goal, this is so awesome. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Fatigue & Weakness ....

I was sleeved June 28 and while the first two weeks were great, the next two have been exhausting. I am back at work but very tired. I have had 3 surgeries prior to the sleeve and I have to say I think it gets harder to recover from the general anesthetic each time. I think age impacts as well. But I know it will pass and the weight is falling off so all good! Sent from my iPad using VST
  5. I am jealous. I suck at zumba! I tried a couple of times but I guess I am too uncoordinated. I went left when the others went right, forward when they went back etc. So embarrassing. I hit the wall, crashed into others and generally looked like an idiot! Too embarrassed to go back. Sent from my iPad using VST
  6. VAping might reduce some of the toxins and carcicans but it does not eliminate them. And as you know, it doesn't stop the impact on your central nervous system. Remember you will be recovering from general anesthesia and will have a lot of drugs, possibly opiates, in your system. Don't add to the mix with something that alters your physical state. Wait 6 weeks, until you know you have recovered from the anesthetic. Then, if you still want to use, vape. Smoking is just nasty.
  7. I don't know whether this is a big cultural difference or whether I am just interacting with people like you good folk. I never, ever feel discriminated against as an obese person. People generally treat me well. I have lost a lot of weight before and I have not always been obese and I don't notice much difference in how i am treated though I do notice a difference in how I act. Oddly enough, on every visit I have had to the USA I have found people to be super polite and friendly, more so than in my own country, except in NYC but then I don't think that was because I was obese but rather because it was NYC. So most of your experiences really surprise me. Sent from my iPad using VST
  8. I agree with the previous poster who suggested a visit to the doctor. If you are watching her food intake and it is healthy, and she is swimming so many hours a day, and there are no sugary drinks in her life then I would be concerned something was wrong. I also don't understand the school lunch situation Is it free at school? Surely at 10 you can control this? She will likely have more esteem issues from being overweight than from having a mother who sets firm boundaries.
  9. I am so pleased we don't have school lunches here! Good luck. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Feeling Good

Yes, funny you should say that. I have never been this cold, ever! I have never used an electric blanket until a week ago. I have been very cold since the surgery so I expect to find this summer easier to bear! Sent from my iPad using VST
  11. Diet has to be the first place to look. What is she eating? At her age you need to be the boss of what goes in her mouth. learn early is the way to go. I don't think trainers and gyms are needed for kids. What kids need is to play. Like proper play. Outdoors, up trees, on bikes......all that stuff we know to be good for them. Much for fun for her to go for a bike ride than to walk on a treadmill. My fear would be that she would resent the treadmill, and it could impact negatively on her self image. Wii fit? Play together. So many options to do that are low to no cost, walking as a family, swimming, playing ball, etc. Sent from my iPad using VST

Lol! Well just think, when you are all cold in winter, I will be sweltering in summer down here in the southern hemisphere! Right now I am thinking of crawling into bed just for the electric blanket even though it's only 8pm! Dead jealous of you all right now! Sent from my iPad using VST

    Discrimination :(

Sorry to hear you are feeling down. Those people, they are strangers so their opinion of you is of no consequence. Don't give your power away to strangers and let them make you feel bad. Look instead at the love you can give yourself, the love in your family or marriage and the exciting journey you are on to transform your life. Be your own best friend and others will follow.
