Has Anyone Noticed A Change In Their Sleep Patterns?
LouiseC replied to GoState's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ghrelin levels are related t sleep duration. There are studies suggesting that high levels of ghrelin are connected to short sleep duration so post surgery we should expect upset to our sleep pattern but eventually find we sleep more. Obviously this won't be the case for everyone but there definitely is a link between ghrelin and sleep. -
Really? How odd. All the men I know drink wine. As for carbonation, I was told nothing for six months and then limited going forward.

May Sleever Role Call- Where U At?
LouiseC replied to MG in SD's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved May 28th and am down 68pounds. Feeling great and down to a size 16 pant from a size 22. -
A lot depends on what you have been told you can eat. We all have different diets post surgery, I was on soft food at two weeks and eating slow cooked meat, vegetables, beans and lentils. I was also having porridge and scrambled eggs. Others are on full liquids for quite a few weeks. What are you allowed to eat?

Acid Reflux/heart Burn Post Op
LouiseC replied to ShrinkyDinkMe22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been on omeprazole for years but doubled my dose post surgery. Some days I take liquid gaviscon as well. I hate heartburn and reflux and suffer from both regularly. -
Congratulations!

I am 12 weeks out and I have lost 68 pounds.

Yes, it depends on the cheese. I would stick to weighing it where possible and then you will get an idea of what one ounce looks like for the cheese you usually eat.

You look fantastic, and so happy!

I am relieved to read that I am not alone! They say ex smokers become the worst anti smoking critics and snobs so perhaps it is the same for ex fatties? -

I confess that I regularly have wine and coffee I confess that I am not really confessing the above as my NUT says it is absolutely fine to have wine and coffee I confess that I am becoming in love with my own reflection, I check myself out in every mirror and even check outmy reflections in shop windows I confess that watching others eat now often makes me feel ill I confess that I am scared of turning into a snob -
How Long Until You Ate Salad, Steak, Bread?
LouiseC replied to JentryB2020's topic in Food and Nutrition
Meant to add that in the mashies stage I had rice pudding with no issues though could only manage two tablespoons! I have had well toasted bread on 3 occasions but find I don't really care for it. Which is odd as i have always loved bread I'm not going to have pasta for another three months given the swell factor. I find myself missing pasta on occasions. -
How Long Until You Ate Salad, Steak, Bread?
LouiseC replied to JentryB2020's topic in Food and Nutrition
I had steak from six weeks out. I can't eat much but I have no issues with the little bit I do eat. Tonight we had beautiful eye fillet steak, I had about 2oz, a tablespoon of peas and 4 oven baked sweet potato 'fries'. I am sufficiently replete! I have arule that since I eat so little, I make sure I eat quality. So I don't mind spending more on getting good quality, grass fed, organic eye fillet beef because overall my grocery bill is less. Tonight's eye fillet was melt in the mouth rare and delicious! -

The Most Embarrassing Fat Moment....
LouiseC replied to Sannah's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a drinks event for my immediate team, all there were my staff and their partners. On the balcony at the hotel we were in I sat on a wooden outdoor chair and it collapsed under me. I dropped my glass of wine all over myself as my butt hit the floor. I was mortified. One of my team immediately came to help me up, apologising and saying he had noticed a crack in the chair and had meant to get it removed but had forgotten to. I knew he was lying and was doing so to make me feel better and while I really appreciated it, inside I was dying. It was earlier this year and a turning point for me. -

Striong Women And The Topic Of Sex....
LouiseC replied to Queen of Crop's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
The writing was appalling and I was stunned they made best sellers. I don't get the fuss, I don't think that the writing is representative of people who actually engage in bdsm or dominant and submissive relationships. The writer herself said she researched online. This is little more than a product of her own fantasy. They were titillating books, but there is better soft porn available!
