Do you burp a lot when you drink anything? I have a lot of gas that I can't seem to shake,

Honestly, my drink was gross! It was the worst tasting lemonade ever. And it was hard for me because my surgeon also fixed my hiatal hernia and the liquid could get through... But it turns out all is well and I just got the clear for phase 2 liquid diet, woo hoo! Can't wait for m skinny days to come!! good luck everyone!!! I've been up walking, doing stairs, and everything. They kept me one more night, but I'm totally cool with it. Take care!

SO I had my sleeve done yesterday morning, just went for my upper GI leak test, except the liquid isn't moving , I have to go back in an hour. has this happended to anyone? Does this mean I have a leak? I mean I feel okay, sore and gassy, but I've been walking and going up and down stairs, I don't want to have a leak:(. They said that when you haven't eaten and drank in a while that sometimes it takes a whole for the digestive track to wake up... Has this happened to anyone? I'm so nervous. And I wanted to go home today and idk if it's happening now

Phew... Thanks everyone. Turns out everything's fine, I am not on phase 2 liquid diet. What happened is that he had to fix my hiatal hernia and it is just so swollen, there's only a little space for liquid to g through, s that's what the hold up was. I got a shot of something in my IV that has helped with the swelling and all is well, they want to kee me ne more night, and then I'm good to go. So thankful! I can't wait to see where my results bring me! Thanks everyone!! Xx

I'm doing pretty well, I'm tender but can walk around. So far the gas is the worst part for me.

I'm doing alright, up and walking, sore, gassy, so thirsty! Getting ready to my upper GI leak test, then hopefully a nice drink. My bladder had a hard time starting up yesterday, but once they took me off the morphine, I was good. Best wishes fellow sleevers!!!

You will! I've been doing shakes all day and an occasional dinner ( high in protein!!) and have lost about 15 lbs in almost 2 weeks . I'm scared for my clear liquid diet tomorrow! Then surgery Friday morning!! Squeeeee!!! Best wishes! Just stay busy!!

Some people live life wayyyyyyyyy tooooo seriously. You only get one life, some of us now are getting a second chance to live the life that we always wanted, why not throw a little humor in it? I think it's awesome that people are naming thier sleeves. I get mine Friday morning and I'm still trying to come up with a good name, but this sleeve has changed and saved my life already! When I went for my endoscopy they were able to find a polyp that came back as a mass of neuroendocrine cancer! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I just wish I could come up with name for my sleeve to thank it.. Whether its a him or her.... I guess you don't really know until post op! Thanks for the giggles this morning! And to all you grumps.... Lighten up!!!!!!!

Have you been getting a regular period? Is there a chance you could have been pregnant?

I'm 25 from nh. Struggled with my weight since I was 12. Up and down, everywhere, I gave birth to the most wonderful baby Girl a year ago and have the privilege of bein a stay at home mom with her . this journey for me started in January... It's been a roller coaster. I had my endoscopy in June only to find I have neuroendocrine cancer in my duodenum. I had 3 tumors and a hiatal hernia. I am beyond thankful for choosing this procedure, because they would have NEVER found my tumor had I not. It was up and down on whether or not I would be able to get the sleeve or not but m happy to say... I am having my sleeve this Friday, sept. 7th!! Ahhhhh!! As far as the cancer, as of now it's a low grade slow growing tumor, so they will go in ever 6 months with an endoscopy to scrape the area and remove any growth. I'm ready to be happy, healthy and to keep running around with my Sweet Caroline <3

Vitamin B is what's going to give you energy. Get a sublingual B12. They dissolve under your tongue. Very important! Along with your other vitamins! Since you can't get energy from food, they're so important. I'm not sleeved yet, but have studied to NO END! Friday at 6 AM!! Yayyy! Stay strong!!!!

That boy is going to be crying like a baby when you come strolling by, down 75 pounds and smoking hot! Just do you, get healthy, get happy, and know that EVERYTHING happens for a reason! His losssss!!! Suckaaaa!!!
