    Make-Ahead Help

Hi Everyone, I'm 5 months post-op and have been doing great until very recently. Between taking classes and working full-time I have found myself grabbing "quick" meals and could use some help. I've decided to take a day in the week to prepare some low-carb high-Protein freezer meals. I'm going to start off with Breakfast and make some mini eggwhite and veggie frittatas with a recipie I found online. But I am having a difficult time finding other small portioned recipies that fit the low-carb high-protein bill. Any ideas?
  2. It's been 17 days since my VSG, my doc and nutristionist want me to start on mashables, they said eventually I need to stop relying on Protein shakes so much and get my protein from meals. The problem right now is that nothing except liquid feels good going down. Maybe it is because I've been on a liquid diet for over a month now but I can't seem to digest solid food easily. I started with part of a scrambled egg mixed with Water and could barely swallow half of it. Today I attempted a couple small spoonfulls of refried Beans but that didn't go well either. I'm donig everything by the books: chewing thoroughly, taking small bites, making sure liquids have been 1/2 hour before and after food, but it's not working. When the food his my stomach I have pain and feel very uncomfortable, luckly I haven't been throwing up but it comes very close and the thought of trying to eat just makes me cringe at the pain I know I'll receive. I wonder if it really is so bad to just stick with the liquids for a while longer.... or forever Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how long did it take before it passed?
  3. Thanks so much, I think I was just so excited to move on to real food that I thought it had to be immediate. I'll hold off and try again later. It might be that I'm taking a little longer to heal.
