Almost A Month On Monday!
Ready4success replied to leahandgracey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I got cleared to work out any way I wanted to at my 6 week post-op check, and now it seems to be melting off. Of course, you have to keep track of what's going in, as well as exercise to really see results. -

Anyone Stall After Hitting The Gym?
Ready4success replied to NotsoSlimShady's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Could it be the 3 week stall that coincidentally started around the time you started at the gym? I stalled for 2 weeks between the 3rd amd 4th weeks post-op. We're sleeve siblings, I was sleeved on the 28th too! -

Concerns...i Have To Go To Houston For Surgery Becasue Of Insurance
Ready4success replied to lexybloch's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Which one? The dad or the son? I have a friend that had the dad for a RNY a few years ago at The Methodist Hospital, when they were on the reality show "Big Medicine". She said he had an amazing bedside manner, and was so supportive in the clinic. Try to relax, these guys have many years of experience in bariatric medicine and surgery. -
We all wish you the best. I still think it's a good idea to gain some insight from the folks who got revisions. They have a lot of good info to give on symptoms of complications of the lapband and such. Only you know what's best for you right now, so good luck!

My labs are back. No more diabetes and my cholesterol is now normal! I'm still taking b/p meds, but my doctor thinks I'll be off of those in a few months too! No more finger sticks and being terrified of going to the doctor! Today is a good day, y'all! -
6 Weeks Post-Op Visit Last Week
Ready4success replied to Ready4success's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everybody! I feel really good, and even though my abs are sore from crunches last night, I'm excited about getting to the gym, so I can work on getting off of the b/p meds too. -
Should I Be Worried?

Did you lose any pre-op? I know when people lose a significant amount pre-op, their bodies take a little longer to reset. -

Had My First Nsv Moment Followed By Wth
Ready4success replied to grayeybeauty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My bf refused to discuss anything about the surgery when I was pre-op, then the relationship fell to pieces after. I broke up with him, and told him I couldn't handle it. Since then, we're dating again, and he is really trying. He still doesn't mention the surgery or my weightloss, though. Sometimes men are like little boys, once he realizes the "new" you is like a new toy, he'll come around to see what kind of new things you can do, lol.
