2 Months Down And 67 Lbs Lost!
Ready4success replied to kaeannpark's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations! You're looking great! Beautiful smile. -
I'm a nurse, and I took 3 weeks off. It was perfect. My doctor suggested 2 weeks off for anyone in healthcare, if you're getting single incision.

My Progress So Far (9-10 Weeks) & Dating Advice?
Ready4success replied to Izuri's topic in Singles Forum
I think this is the first time I've seen a picture of you. You're beautiful and you're looking great. I've dated a lot, but I still haven't figured out how to cover up the silences. Good Luck! -
Ok, I'll try a few flavors. Thanks

Ok, I'll look it up. I've never heard of that. Thanks

Why is that when I drink a lot of plain water, I get nauseous, but I can drink the same amount of G2, and I'm fine? I feel that drinking 2-32oz G2s per day is too many carbs, but I can hardly finish 2 bottles of water without getting nauseous. I'm not drinking them fast, so I don't get it.

I put one on before my visitors came. It did hurt a little, but a lady my size can't go without. -
What Percentage Of Your Excess Weight Did You Lose?
Ready4success replied to READY TO LOSE IT's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm a month out from surgery, and I've lost 25% of my excess body weight. I know it will slow down between the 3rd and 4th month, but I'll take advantage while I can. -

I Cheated With Pretzels. Really?
Ready4success posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yesterday was my brother's b-day, so there was cake with buttercreme icing and ice cream at my house. I didn't go near it. I came to work last night, and around 1 this morning, I became so hungry after a case. I came to the lounge, and saw a huge bag of salted pretzels on the table. I went after them like I hadn't eaten in weeks. I ended up eating too many, and I was uncomfortable for a little while. I ate a lot more than I thought I could. I'm not even a big fan of chips or pretzels. -

Ninja Blender?
Ready4success replied to ThinnerTiff's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I bought the Ninja based on recommendations from this site. I like it, but sometimes fluids will leak when blending. I usually blend a little, tighten, blend a little, and tighten. Somehow, it loosens while blending, and you get crud stuck in the base. Other than that, I really like it. The single serving cups are spectacular. -

Wow, these are great answers. Everybody is doing some pretty high intensity stuff. I guess it's time to put my game face on, and get to it. -

I felt really good during the workout. I was amazed at how much of a difference it makes to not have that extra 30 pounds on my body. Having said that, I had some soreness in my main incision site the day after, so I went back to walking. I'm really looking forward to getting back on that elliptical, though.

Well, I went to the gym and did more than I was supposed to, but I felt really good during the workout. I was sore the day after, near my main incision site, so I think I learned my lesson. Back to walking, I guess.

Down 92 Pounds And So Thankful!
Ready4success replied to Chicago1962's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That's outstanding progress. I'm one month post-op, I'm trying to take it one day at a time too. I don't want to be disappointed if I don't hit big numbers, but it's so hard not to. I know I won't lose 90 pounds in 3.5 months, but you're an inspiration to me, just as well. -
Roll Call Nurses Being Sleeved ...........
Ready4success replied to TinkerToyz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm an OR nurse, and I took 3 weeks off. I was mentally ready to go back at 2 weeks, but not physically. I do compressed weekends, so it's intense, and I was wiped out after the first weekend back. I do a lot of ortho trauma, and it was exhausting. If you can, take the 3 weeks.
