I really noticed everyone's weight loss as well! Can't wait to do it again next month. Anyone up for a challenge? My co-worker and I challenged each other to have no sweets for a whole week! She has a little baby weight to lose and I still have lots of weight to lose, so we thought we'd see what a difference cutting something unhealthy out would make. We'll see. If it works, I will try to do it all them time, not just for a week. Anyone else want to give it a try? For all I know, I'm the only one here with a sweet tooth.

While I might be opening a can of worms that needs to be left closed, I find your excitement for shooting animals repulsive and would appreciate not having to read about it when I am talking to my fellow lap band friends about their lap band experiences. What you do for recreation is your business, and I would rather you didn't make me share it with you. :speechles Sorry if this offends, but I have a feeling you have offended me much more with the machine gun banana.

Congratulations on your decision to have lapband! My surgery went really smoothly. The only thing I will say, is if you are at all sensitive to vicodin (get dizzy or nauseated from it) stick to tylenol or nothing for the pain. The only bad thing I can remember is them telling me is that I don't want to ever throw up, yet they give me vicodin which caused the spins and nausea. So, I went without pain meds and did just fine. The nurses were wonderful and everything was great. I had a nurse named Carol and she was as good as gold. I hope she cares for you as well. Good luck!:clap2:

Yes, I am doing so much better. I have lost 8 pounds since my fill on the 16th. Pretty impressive for 11 days! I know that is too much too fast, but since I didn't lose for 5 weeks when I was between fills, I'll take it for now. I am in your shoes now. I can eat 2 or 3 bites and I'm done. That is where I hoped I'd be. Now, I am looking forward to finding time to do some exercise. Are we meeting on the 3rd for lunch? Where? How about somewhere different like panera or something? What do you think?

My doctor says to drink carbonation if it makes you happy. He says there is no evidence it has any negative side effects for a lapband patient, but that it can be painful for a gastric bypass patient. I drink a diet mountain dew every now and then for the caffeine if I am tired at work (I don't like coffee or tea) and I never have any trouble.:car:

You guys are doing awesome! Hopefully I will join you soon! I decided not to get an unfill because I am also finally losing weight. I can only eat a couple of bites and not really anything solid, but I'm okay with that as long as it works. Kelly

The new fill didn't do much so I went back yesterday and he said it probably wasn't enough. He filled me up and now I have to go back for an unfill because even Water is hurting. Yikes! I hope I can get it right soon. Kelly

I had my fill today and it didn't hurt!!! Yeah!!! I also didn't lose any saline this time. My band had 2.2 cc in it and it now has 2.4. Dr. Rohrscheib doesn't want me past 2.4 since I have a smaller band, and he doesn't want any vomiting. So...all is well. I haven't tried eating yet. He asked a bunch of questions this time and said I was definitely ready for a fill since I was hungry by 11 everyday. He said it is usually early afternoon when a properly adjusted lap bander gets hungry. So, we shall see. I have lost the pound a week since surgery that he wanted me to, so I am glad of that. He expects 40ish for my first year. Sounds good to me. Great to see you yesterday ladies! Hope I will be smaller next month!

It's been awhile since I've posted because I've been frustrated with my band. I am so loose that I can eat whatever I want and drink at the same time with it. I called for a fill and told them I didn't care if my doctor Rohrscheib did it or if Dr. Tull did it and they told me Dr. Tull was leaving the practice in less than a week. So, all you Dr. Tull patients, sorry but he is moving his practice up North. Anyway, my fill is August 7th and I can't wait because I have been 200 lbs for at least 3 weeks now, maybe 4. Girls...will we be meeting on the 6th for lunch? Noon? Just checking. Take Care, Kelly

I do need to make better choices. I'll have to lose the chocolate I guess, but I must do it in stages because I might have a breakdown without it.:help: I might call my doc and ask about another fill too. Thanks!

Your band must be way tighter than mine because I can eat anything if I chew it well. My doc made me sip water and said if it went down slowly than I was too full and he pulled back a bit. Didn't want me throwing up at all he said. So, I'm just not sure to be filled or not. I have never had to eat mushies or soft foods or just soups. I can eat pizza if I really chew it. Maybe that is the problem.

I did have some minor hair loss as well, but it seems to be slowing up now. I think I have a problem. I am medicating myself with chocolate. It's all I ever think about. I can't have another fill because I have already PB'd twice on this fill. I think I wouldn't be able to swallow if I had another fill. Anyone else have a crutch they keep eating that they know they shouldn't? What stinks about chocolate is that it goes right through the band. Probably why I've been the same weight for 3 weeks now. Gotta lose the chocolate.

Hey guys! I am doing great, although not as great as Jennie! My kids are so much better! Anthony, my 19-month-old, had surgery on Thursday to have tubes put in his ears. Poor guy. He is feeling better, and we even took a Sunday 2 hour trip to the Indianapolis Zoo. The kids had a blast and so did we. My weight is finicky, but still losing about 1 a week. :clap2:

Hey girls! I'm sorry about yesterday, but I've been in a bad place lately. :help: Both of my sons have been sick on and off since June 1st and it took a bad turn over the last couple of weeks. :sick My oldest, Tyler (3), has the flu right now with temps around 104-105 and my little one just saw a ENT doctor this morning to schedule surgery for tubes in his ears. He has been treated for a month and can't shake the infection. He had to finally have antibiotic shots on Friday, Saturday & Sunday morning in his thighs to try to kill the infection. Poor little guy. He's so young (20 months) and I can't stand to see him in pain. I missed celebrating my birthday due to all the illnesses so I'm still trying to reschedule that as well. I hope lunch was nice. I haven't been able to take lunch in over 2 weeks to try to make up the time I have been in and out for emergency appts. It's either miss lunch or lose money and I need money!!! So, I hope all is well with the two of you and Jennie, are you kidding, slow weight loss!!! Over 50 pounds in 5 months! You are doing fabulously!!! Terry, I hope you next fill does you some good. I am finally slow and steady and looking forward to what life will be like in a year from now! Bye!!!

I am not sure if we have decided the meeting place. Terry had originally suggested Olive Garden and I was having trouble eating bread back then. Now I can eat anything except Cereal with milk so I am fine with whatever we do. Kelly

I'm sorry Terry. I know it is frustrating. I had to have 3 fills and I still have only lost another 5 pounds since then. Everything gets stuck so I know I can't have another fill. I need to choose better I guess. I pretty much eat what I want, just a lot less. I guess I need to go back to all rabbit food to speed things up. Anyway, I hope things start moving again.
