I vote May! Congrats!

Hey Cindy (love the luhu! I'm a Dr. Seuss fan myself.) You're not lactose intolerant are you?
-
You can squat? Wow, I'd like to be able to do that! :ohwell:
-
That is so sweet! What nice friends you have!
-
Oh amen to that! Last year at our family get together, we had professional pictures made on the beach. There was the family and then there was me, the beach ball! :think When I lose this weight, I'm gonna pay for the sitting for us to have them made again! :clap2:
-
Yeah, that does stink! I just called them and they confirmed the 4/10 date. However, the patient still has to meet the requisite qualifications which might take another 6 months...I'm not willing to wait that long, so I'm sticking w/ the self pay! I hate to have to do it, but otherwise it might be October before I could have the surgery! :faint: Did you put something on the general board?
-
Good luck to all you May 2nd bandits! :bandit We're pulling for you! :cheer2:

If you open MS Word (assuming that's the program you use), then come back to the forum and highlight the calendar, then right click on it and click copy, then return to MS Word and right click again, then click on paste...you'll get it.
-
Great! We'll have to stay in touch and try to meet up there at one of the meetings. I'm self pay also (by the grace of God and my DH!). I'm glad you joined us here...it's nice having everyone's support. :clap2:

A while back I read on here about someone purchasing one cup sized containers w/ lids. I can't remember the name of the store (online I think), but I seem to recall it being a type of cooking utensil place. I've searched the forums, but I'm getting too many hits. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Thanks!
-
Have you been reading the May 2007 Banders thread? Someone there worked up a calendar...I don't see your name on it though! It's here if you haven't been reading it.
-
Thanks! It's my husband's nickname for me (hmmmm....) :tired Great idea. I'll check at Wally World! I'm getting banded on May 8th. Who's your doctor? I'm seeing Dr. Schmitt in B'ham. I'm getting nervous too! :omg:
-
18. So I can give myself a pedicure!
-
NB, I think NaeNae is scheduled for May 8th also. Y'all correct me if I'm wrong!
-
That's great! Thanks NB! :high5: hey healthny...we're band buddies! :biggrin1:
-
Whoa! He sounds like a real task master! What did he tell you and how much does he think you should lose by the day of the surgery? You know they make SB meals and snack bars. Maybe you should just buy a bunch of those and only have that. I don't know though...if I were good about dieting, I wouldn't have some of the problems I have! Good luck and keep us posted!

You guys are voicing my own concerns. I've played the yo-yo game for years, always w/ the scale creeping ever upward in the long run. I'm scheduled to be banded May 8th. At this point I keep thinking for some reason the date will be canceled or they'll decide I don't really need the band. Oh Lord! Then I'm worried that after I'm banded it won't work. Yikes! I've done all the tests, but the surgeon's office is still waiting on a letter from my sleep doctor. I've worried the fool out of them to fax it, even making them fax it twice today! I desperately want to get down below 200. I've lost the same 20-25 pounds over and over again until now I'm afraid it just won't happen. But you guys have given me hope! Thanks!

Well, 13 days until I go under the knife. I don't think it's truly sunk in though. I weighed this a.m. My scales say 218, but I'll have to see how much more Dr. Schmitt's weigh me.

Maybe your band is too tight! -
I quit too. My doc put me on Chantix (http://chantix.com) and it works great! Even when I tried using the Patches, I had some cravings. Not so w/ chantix. I've met others who've tried it too and said the same thing. Good luck!

Bless your heart Choco. But just think, you'll lose your weight. He can't lose that which makes him a small weenie of a man! Hang tough kiddo!

I want to walk my dogs!!! :dog:

No honey, grits are made from corn! But you're right, they're similar to Cream of Wheat in texture, except a little grittier (no pun intended!). :hungry:
