I was just saying this week that i feel like my sleeve has gotten smaller...did not think the weather had anything to do with it, but that could as good as a reason as any I suppose!!! either way, I am still glad...been maintaining same weight for about 3 months...want to lose another 10-15 though...

Cocktails And Alcohol
mullet head replied to SkinnyOnMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i waited till i was back on "solid" food...6-8 weeks post op, i talked to my doc about it first...their main concern was the empty calorie issue with alchohol...of course too early n i think there are ulcer cocerns as well...i would say wait as long as u can, then start slow... -
I guess by your definition I plateau every week!! (I only weigh on Mondays) I am not sure what the definition of plateau is, but pretty darn sure it aint 4 days...I have been within 2.0 lbs of the same weight for 6 weeks...and I don't really call it a plateau...more of a "rest stop"

Reality Check! Someone Kick Me In The Head!
mullet head posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have read alot of stories about peeps getting sick and getting the slimes...Well NOT ME...I got this sleeve thing all figured out...right?? WRONG!!! I have been slipping a lot more lately, pretty much eating what i want (much smaller portions of course), drinking what I want (Beer, diet drinks, coffe etc) because I got this sleeve thing all figured out..right?? WRONG... REALITY CHECK...I spent about 5-10 minutes getting slimed last night...I NEED A SWIFT KICK IN THE HEAD....and need to get back on track!! I have to remember this sleeve is NOT a get of jail free card...I have to contantly work for this tool to work!! Can't do anything about the past, I can only affect the future...time to keep plugging away, hour by hour, day by day!!! Have a great weekend fellow sleevers!! surgery date: oct 12, 2011 -

Quite A Realization
mullet head replied to lyndynojo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i was just going down the path of self abuse myself...i am also within 18lbs of my goal...and a bit frustrated it is not coming off faster...but realize the incredible success I have had up till now, and I am not exactly working out how I was or as strict on eating as I was. It is hard for me to put out of my mind the horrendous fear of failure and regaining all my weight back ++ as I have so many other times over the years. i know that is not even possible with my current rate of food intake, but it is constantly on the back of my mind. But as i put on my size L shirt today, I reflect on the XXXL's I was in only months ago!! Perhaps that fear will always be there and maybe thats not a bad thing??? surgery date: oct 12, 2011 -
Do The Cravings Stop ?
mullet head replied to RachelsREADY's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
One of the things I had to "learn" was to understand if I really had cravings (hunger) or was it head hunger or actually dehydration. I have found out that many times my cravings where actually dehydration and since i ALWAYS had 2-3 drinks of something when i ate, I guess I related the two. Now I try and satisfy my cravings with plenty-o-Water and see if that helps, if not, try and sub a healthy snack, if not, I just go ahead and satisfy whatever the craving is...heck I can't eat the whole pizza even if I wanted to!!! surgery date: Oct 12, 2011 -
Restriction Questionn
mullet head replied to kayte819's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am exaclty the same way!! Diff foods give me diff "full" feelings, mostly the feeling is pressure. but when i do overeat it is HICUPS!!! Very uncomfortable till it passes!!! surgery date: Oct 12, 2011 -
Are docs told our group that the only real way to stretch your tummy is repeated long term overeating...as described by gmanbat!! i have recently (month or two, maybe more :-)...) added beer back into my diet...havn't noticed any adverse reactions!! surgery date: Oct 12, 2011

I Think I'm Eating Too Much
mullet head replied to KATEYEZ0208's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't measure at all...I "listen" for full cues and go from there, some days its more, some days its less. Our docs told us at our last support group meeting that it would take a long period of time (implying years) of habitual over eating to stretch our stomachs... your body is probably the best judge of your portion size, its just a matter of learning your new cues. surgery date: Oct 12, 2011 -
how wierd...I have had some "strange" bruises on the inside of my left leg by my knee too...one really big dark one... I started taking B12 this week...guess we will see... Glad you brought it up!!
