After a year and a half post gastric sleeve surgery, I am ready to tell my story. I have battled with my weight my entire life. I lived on a diet- over the past 7 yeas I was dieting and exercising diligently with no success. I lost 25 lbs but gained it back even while dieting and exercising. In January 2012, a friend suggested gastric sleeve surgery. I had never heard of this procedure only lapband and bypass. So my husband and I began researching this procedure. By March we had narrowed it down to a Dr in Tijuana- I spoke with him extensively on the phone with questions and concerns. He answered my questions and I felt comfortable to go forth with the procedure. I scheduled the surgery date for July 4, 2012. This was to become my independence day. Friends it truly did become my "independence day". I feel like a new person!! I followed all precautions probably to the extreme- continued to walk and exercise at least 3-4 times a week. I have energy and a body that I never thought I would have again at my age. I praise God for allowing me the financial means to travel to Mexico and for finding Dr. Ramos Kelly. This has truly changed my life!!
Today I am looking into a new change- I am considering going to have a tummy tuck and a breast lift and reduction. I am so excited to see what lies ahead! Best of luck to each of you as you begin this life changing journey.
