Help Sought Understanding Protein Absorption
O.T.R. sleever replied to LouiseC's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Look at the ingredients on the mix. Whey Protein isolate is the best protein you can get. And by isolating the protien they remove all lactose from the mix. But make sure whey protien isolate is the only source of protein in your mix Most mixes will also contain whey protien concentrate, milk protien, Calcium cassinate, or other milk derived Proteins that are not lactose free Both unjury & Syntrax nectar use pure whey protein isolate. Another option for protein that that is that has a full ammino acid structure is Hemp protein. Hemp is the only plant based protein that has all ammino acids. You could assemble a variety of plant proteins to get all the ammino acids, but that's too much work for me to mess with. -
The proper answer is never. The realistic answer is you'll just have to test those waters on your own time schedule. I had about 10oz of Dr. Pepper about 7 or 8 weeks out. It didn't bother me, I just found that I really don't care for Dr Pepper anymore. Ended up throwing 1/2 of a 20oz bottle in the trash. Beer is a pretty heavy drink. So it may or may not have been the carbonation. And just for the record I'd quit drinking all together before I'd drink wine. I'd never live it down if the guys saw me with a wine glass.

Phew!!!! I am so glad I asked now. I was envisioning 3lb labia. -
Is anybody familiar with this bike? I'm wondering if it's worth it.... I've got an opportunity to get one for $675. But that's still about $500 more than I've ever spent on a bike before. I need something that is compact because I'm a truck driver and will be storing it in the passenger side floorboard.

It is so amazing to me how many MLM companies are in the "health supplement" business. I see at least 1 a week on this board. -
I had my surgery on may 23rd then flew from San Diego to Springfield, Mo with a stop in Dallas on the 26th. Not a problem.

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and look at these for me. No such thing as TMI for me. I'm a sponge, & I'm very cautious on how I spend money. I like to be as well informed as I possibly can be before I make any kind of investment. I'm a huge believer in you get what you pay for only to a certain point. Then you're paying for a name, or the law of diminishing returns kicks in. I really want to be on that line where I'm gettinthe best experience I can without paying extra for a name. I'm pretty mechaniclly inclined, but have never had much luck adjusting the linkage on multi gear bikes. Is it easier on higher end bikes or should I just pay a bike shop to do it for me

I'm sure I'm gonna regret this..... What's a Mons? -
I think the first thing I'll be looking at is a different seat. I bought a much less expensive bike a few years ago, I think I rode it maybe 1/2 mile and my butt was killing me. Do you know anything about the Dahon Espresso? It seems to be in the same price range and looks like its more of a road bike than an off road.

http://www.montaguebikes.com/paratrooper-folding-military-bike.html That is the one I am offered the deal on. It's a Paratrooper Montague. I was looking at Dahons. But anything that I liked was WAY out of my price range. TBH. Even this one is pretty pricey to me. But, then again I was looking at these on eBay and they seem to hold value pretty well.

How To Gain Weight Post-Op
O.T.R. sleever replied to flipdmx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The link in the post above is to a product called Boost VHC (formerly Carnation VHC). It packs 540 calories into a 8 oz shake. If that can't make you gain, I'd be looking for a medical reason. -

I've come to find that if I can't swallow what I have, typically I'm trying to swallow too much.

I think on he integrity issue it's totally situational. If you say smaller portions & exercise and they accept that everybody moves on and is fine. However same scenario and they respond with " I wish I had the strength to do that" or "I wish that was enough for me". Then I think it would be an integrity issue to not tell them the rest.

Thanks everyone, I'm still shopping his one. I really thought there would be more high end options out there by now.

Don't forget, the reason to wait before eating popcorn. You want to be sure your staple line is completely healed before even considering it. The seed husks can lodge in your staple line. -

If I end up with wired headphones/earbuds it will likely be either Bose or Beats. I do like Beats bass response. I'm really hoping somebody has a wireless recommendation though.
