60 Grams Of Protein In A Serving
O.T.R. sleever replied to Anthony D'Adamo's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
There some I'll effects from consuming too much protein, but that really isn't a concern for us. In order for protein o affect you badly you would need to go well over triple the amounts that we talk about on this forum & it would have to be prodomanantly from meat sources. -

So A $3.50 "split Fee" In Our Favorite Restaurant
O.T.R. sleever replied to Rootman's topic in The Lounge
I can't object to a restaurant charging a "split fee" as most of what you are paying for when you go is he atmosphere & the experience, not to mention the convenience. You did get these. However as others have stated there should have been something provided for this fee & the fee should have been listed on the menu or clearly articulated. As far as not tipping the waitstaff, I don't feel it's appropriate to punish your server for the reasuraunts policies. They provided you a service, and in return you picked their pocket. I have been guilty of doing this as a heated rash decision, but after calming down I felt it was my responsibility to return & make it right. -
A vegitarian does not eat any meat at all. Pescitarian adds only fish to a vegitarian diet. A Pesci-pollitarian adds fish & foul to a vegitarian diet. (There is some controversy over pork as it is not a red meat, but by definition is not included in this diet) Vegan is another controversial term. So I'll list the 2 most common practices 1. Does not eat any animal durived products. Meat, eggs, dairy, etc 2. A strict vegan goes farther than #1 an will not use any animal derived products at all. To include leather, collagen lotions, animal tested products, etc. Then there is the more recent label Flexitarian- this is actually an omnivore that observes a vegitarian diet most of the time. My wife falls into the Flexitarian category, only eating meat products a couple times a month.

I stick to water with ocean spray flavor packets most of the time. When I feel like I need something different I'll grab a Gatorade G2.

The New Whey Protein 3.8 Shoot
O.T.R. sleever replied to ladiecre's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Actually they are garbage for everyone. The human body is incapable of utilizing collagen/gelatin Proteins. They get away with this because the supplement market is not regulated by the FDA. Also they put a tiny amount of whey into the product, so technicaly it does contain whey. What they don't advertise is that it is prodomanantly gelatin/collagen. It's a money grab. Collagen Protein is dirt cheap. But even though it is useless to us the protein is still there Note: any product that is regulated by the FDA that uses collagen/gelatin proteins must be labeled "Not a signifigant source of protein". -
May Be Going Alone
O.T.R. sleever replied to ready2bskinny's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Nope, go to Walgreens and get a pic, take it to the post office, fill out form, pay fee & hand over birth certificate. Then wait 4-6 weeks. Also call to make sure which post office handles it. Not all of them do. Plus for a bit more most post offices can do your pic also. They do have an expedited service, I forget the fee though. -
The New Whey Protein 3.8 Shoot
O.T.R. sleever replied to ladiecre's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I have very bad news for you. Those shots are mostly collagen/gelatin. Your body cannot use the Protein. I consider New Whey to be one of the most offensive products available. They misleadingly name their product to make people believe that it is something it is not. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But I'd feel even worse if I didn't say anything. -
Actually my preference as to a woman's build is naturally curvy Brazilian/Latin shape(I'm an a$$ man). By all means though, I can appreciate the full variety of the female spectrum. I'm guessing my post didn't come across as intended. I'll try it this way. It's more about attitude than anything else. Somebody that has a defeatist attitude really isn't very attractive to me. Conversely, someone who has ambition and drive to improve themselves and become better than they are today, whether that be by getting fit, furthering education, improving carrier options or whatever, will always be more attractive. And if you decide you need a "tool" to help you accomplish that goal, I really don't see how that could be a bad thing. I hope that is clearer.

Any Dippers?

I know smoking hinders the healing process, I'm guessing that dipping does the same thing. -

You can get back over with your birth certificate. A passport does remove the potential for hassle. BTW good to see you here. -
Ha ha, yup, there is a whole thread here somewhere about temporary soloutions you can use till you reach goal.

That's good advice. My fathers wife got breast reduction before WLS, and now she regrets it.

Just looked it up, it looks pretty good, it uses whey protein concentrate which is a step down from the concentrate, but it is still very good. If you actually buy some, I'd really appreciate your opinion on the taste.

Actually most protein drinks are pretty low in calories for what they contain. Both Unjury, and Syntrax nectar are 100calories & deliver 20-23g of protein. Most of your higher calorie shakes are meal replacement shakes rather than protein shakes. I haven't yet seen the one you mentioned, but as a guidline. Always check the ingredients. Whey protien isolate is the best protien in the mass market right now. And if it lists gelatin or collagen in the ingredients it's garbage.

Being that his is something you are doing for your health, I'd get pretty creative. If I had a relativly nice car, I'd sell it & drive a clunker for a couple years If I had any expensive toys (motorcycles, boats, guns, jewelry, etc) they'd be gone. Do you have any marketable talents? I'd be using Craigslist to occupy any spare time I had with a revenue generating activity. Delivering pizzas is an easy job to get even if it's just part time in the evenings & it actually pays pretty well.
