Need A Term For Finally Having Less Than 100 To Lose

You won't have to worry much about over eating, your sleeve will handle that for the most part. What you will need to focus on is your food selection. Really the only way to sabotage this process is by making poor food choices. Make a concerted effort into learning how to get all your nutrients into very small portions. And from my experience, you're not going to want to celebrate your success with a pece of cake, candy, ice cream as the small amount of capacity you have to nourish yourself with is too valuable to waste on that kind of stuff.

Worried About Chewable Vitamins
O.T.R. sleever replied to ashley624's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The only real negative about gummie vitamins is that you are giving up part of your daily carb allowance to your vitamin. Not really a problem early out, but by the time the first bottle was gone, I was looking to save that little bit of carb for my food. -
Too Big For Wls?
O.T.R. sleever replied to mom2five's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm really glad to see you taking your life back, and overjoyed that you are sharing this with your SiL. I want to make sure you are aware that even if everything goes well, and it most likely will, the first few days to two weeks are going to be the toughest. Your brain is going to play games with you, it's going to tell you that you are starving, your going to have some seemingly impossible cravings. I have no doubt that you will get past this without much of a problem, but I want to caution you about leaning on your SiL too much at that time, if she decides to follow your lead, then she'll also need to know what to expect, but I feel it would be best addressed as hindsight rather than in the emotional state that may be going on while these feelings are happening. I hope you understand where I'm coming from here. I really want her to see the benefit of what this surgery can do, I fear that since you say she has "given up" she may view the short lived struggle as too much to deal with, and lose out on the new life this creates an opportunity for. I don't wish other sleevers luck, as I believe it is not needed. But I'll wish you all the best with your new journey & your new life. -
It so good to see you having som smooth days. You've endured more than anybody should have to, you deserve the best now.

Too Big For Wls?
O.T.R. sleever replied to mom2five's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For many surgeons there is a BMI they will not operate over. However here are still quite a number of surgeons out there that will be more than willing to help you. As I'm sure you expect it will be a more involved process for a patient with a very high BMI. The surgeon will likely require a pre op diet, and will need to place a filter to catch clots that are likely to occure. Also there is a high likelihood of anti clotting meds being needed. But bottom line, if you are ready to do this thre is somebody out here that will help you. -
I'm not familiar with ensure protein drinks. But you should be aware hat the body cannot use 51g of protein in one sitting. It's closer to 1/2 that number.

I guess I'll take the pro sleeve angle 1. No real maintanance.(no fills/unfills) 2. No limits on what foods you can eat 3. No foreign bodies inside me 4. No tubes or bands to spring a leak 5. When the band fails the sleeve is he most popular revision 6. Much more rapid weight loss 7. Dramatic reduction of ghrelin (the hormone that causes hunger)

How The Hell Do You Drink Isopure?
O.T.R. sleever replied to Carrie's Journey's topic in Food and Nutrition
Yor body needs ammino acids to run on. Ammino acids come from protein. If you don't get enough protein to fuel your body it will start cannibalizing itself. It will take the ammino acids wherever it can get them, specifically it will start breaking down your own muscle to fuel your body. Your metabolism is directly affected by the amount of muscle on your body. The less muscle you have the slower your metabolism is. -

I gotta ask, what was your waist size then & now? -
The chances of there being a problem 5 weeks out is slim. Doctors say the staple line is completely healed at 6weeks, so in reality it probably is already healed at 5. Don't sweat it. Besides you can't change the past anyhow.
