Do I measure everything? Well, starting off, yes I did. When you measure & journal your food you have a much better understanding of what you are doing & you control it better. I'm not nearly as religious as I was about it starting off, as I became more familiar with wat I was doing I started estimating more, but it's still close. -

If the whey based drinks taste bad to you try hemp. It's a great Protein. This is one of my faves: 4-6oz mango purée (Bolthouse or Naked) 40g Hemp Protein powder (Nutiva 15g or Nutiva 50%) 3oz Water (I prefer this as crushed ice) This will deliver 20g protein & it tastes good too. Its a bit higher in calories than I prefer but not so much that it ruins my diet. I discovered that mango pure will make almost anything tolerable while I was looking for something to mix with KyoGreen. If you've ever had that stuff you'll completely understand. -

Don't use it as a substitute for water, but a can every other day won't hurt. -

OK, I've been trying this app called "Shopwell". It is awesome!! It allows you to customize what you want in your diet, then as you shop you can scan an items barcode and the app will give you a score as to how well that product fits into your diet. Best of all it's FREE!!!!

Runny Nose When Full
O.T.R. sleever replied to scaredoftheunknown's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh Dayum, that's what all this sneezing is all about. I couldn't figure it out. I'm not allergic to anything & I've been sneezing my butt off. -
1st things 1st. If you have enough stomach acid that you can "feel" it and it is causing problems, you need to see your Doc. In all likelihood you PPI is eithe not strong enough or might even need a different brand. Secondly I do agree with the others when it comes to shakes in the morning. My newest is: 6oz-mango purée (Bolthouse or Naked) 45g-50% hemp Protein powder (Nutiva) 1.5tblsp-chia seeds 3oz-water(preferably crushed ice) shake in a Blender Bottle, and shake periodicly

I'll Show You Mine If You Show Me Yours... Hair Loss.

Yes, it is most commonly thought to be due to a lack of Protein in the early post-op stage. Usually happens at about 4 months. It is temporary, and some have even reported thicker regrowth. -
I'm wondering how many chia users there are here & what you are paying for the seeds. I just got my first bag (1lb) and they were kinda expensive. I found a place in AZ that will wholesale them to me but I'd have to buy forty four 1.5lb bags.

How Many People Use Chia Seeds?
O.T.R. sleever replied to O.T.R. sleever's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
According to my research the black has a bit more antioxidants, whereas the whitis slightly higher in Protein. The difference is really so minimal tgat I don't think it really matters. I think if I were trying for maximum health benifit I'd go for the black because I already get plenty of protein. -

Sleeve Vs Roux N Y
O.T.R. sleever replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There is really only one sleeve. DS (duodenal switch) is a malabsorption procedure that can be performed in combination with the sleeve. It basicly bypasses part of your intestine. Thus making the 2 procedures together somewhat similar to gastric bypass -

Make a list of your preferred beverages & then try them staring with your favorite. You have 6 weeks for experimentation. Just remember, you won't likely have much of a tolerance. -
